When 93 yards rushing and 110 total yards gets you player of the week then it reflects just how bad the rest of the team is.

They should have just given it to the Pilot for getting the team there safely. Nobody actually did much of anything once they landed.

Ikept asking myself why are they trying to run, when down by 30 points, i see now they were trying to get Harris to 1000 yrds lst night... nothing more than padding stats

Or they resolved that the game was out of reach and they ended it quickly by using clock.

And two fumbles cost us big games when Conner was the starter and Benny cost us a game too.

In all seriousness though... congrats to him. Whomever the next Steelers QB will be well equipped for certain. Nabbing some Offensive Lineman though will go a very long, long way.

That guy at Steelersdepot would bash Najee, because he's against taking an RB in the first round, then in hindsight say they should've drafted Creed in the first round. That's weak IMO, if you didn't say it before the draft, I don't want to hear it .

To be fair he did say he was against a 1st round runningback and hasn't come off it. They didn't even need to take Creed in the first either though he could have been had in the second. Pat wasn't lasting to their 3rd round pick and he looks like he's playing better than the other guy that people were praising before the draft and taken in the 1st round. (Pitts)

I’ll take Muth over Creed. Do you know how hard it is to make a first year impact as a rookie TE, he’s going to be a force to be reckoned with for years to come.

They can get a center this year. Assuming they feel Green can’t improve.

Hopefully that experiment is over. He needs to get stronger and go back to his natural position Guard. Hopefully he can take Turners spot.

JC is not the long term answer but at least he plays physical and would be a solid #2.

Draft the next 10 year starter or look to free agency.

I gotta say. I think it was pretty obvious that I wanted to draft Travis Etienne instead of Najee before the draft. Very happy to have been wrong. I'm glad the Steelers got it right.

I didn't feel the need to eat crow in the other thread. So I will eat some in this one.

He also was bashing Najee about not being explosive, then he goes for two thirty yard runs against the Browns . In hindsight he said they should've taken Creed in the first, then Freiermuth in the second.

That's my point they can find another center if they want to, they got two stud rookies, these guys have like 18 TDs between them. Freiermuth has more TDs receiving than all the other rookie TEs combined.

Yeah, he's been all over the explosiveness. What he wants is a burner once the hole opens up or a guy that can squirt through and take it to the house. That's not happening until you get better blocking from the oline anyway.

He also wants a burner at WR on the outside. He's forgetting Najee has a different type of explosiveness. He's not running away from you in a sprint down the field, but he's making you miss and keeping his balance for more yards.

Problem with those other guys is they're not doing much picking up a free man coming at the QB and the Steelers need that guy there in single back sets. How many times did Chubb step up and keep Baker from getting blasted?

    Edit:

He's constantly harping on RB fungibility, but the Steelers want that RB to pick up blocks on LB's , better than most of the ones that are out there. Just look at who they had over the last few years. Bell, Connor and now Najee all way better at that than a Chubb or Taylor.

Bell wasn't explosive, but he was an All-Pro, I'm good with a three down RB if they can gain the occasional 20-30 yard run.

To be fair, one of those guys should have been blocked. The dumb TE didn't block either and we see what happened. They possibly win that SB and we're not talking about Aaron Rodgers the same way now are we?
