Pickett is going top 5 if not #1 overall.

 

He's not going top 3. Maybe the Giants at the earliest but this is a very weak QB class and if there is one position that hasn't had a lot of busts in the top of the draft, it's been QBs.

 

Giants, or someone will move up. If Pickett is not worth #1 overall pick, surely, no one is, not Hutchinson, not Thibodeaux, no one. Teams will move down if they do not need a QB,

 

There is no position player outside QB that's worth a 1 overall in this Era. If I am the Jags, I trade down even if it's for 2nd and 3rd rounders. They need a lot of talent to boot.

 

I think it's nice that we let Penn State alumni start threads.

And to be an alumnus (I know the correct word, since I went to Penn State) you need to have graduated. There's zero chance this guy has a college degree

I was actually thinking this was a positive outcome from winning. We wouldn't make a mistake reaching for a QB that will likely be mediocre at best. If the steelers were truly in love with this guy they probably wouldn't have won this game.... or they'll just trade up to get him.

In the past our philosophy of just taking what comes to you on draft day has been a sound one. When we do fall in love with a player it usually blows up in your face. Bush for example. I'd rather see us draft an ILB or OC or OT in round 1. Not sure if there's a can't miss corner there for us but that' also a need w/ Haden likely gone.
