Ben makes it official

He actually said the words today. Last game if they are eliminated.

 

End of an era. It was an amazing run. Hard to imagine watching the Steelers without Ben after watching him as the QB in over 200 games. He was an ideal QB for the Steelers- big, tough, stood in the pocket, excelled in cold weather. Looking forward to watching him going out with a win!

Clearly it’s time to move on from Ben. Unfortunately it’s not quite a Favre to Rodgers transition.

 

This is how I felt after Bradshaw. We missed out on one Pitt qb ... let's not make the same mistake.

 

He didn’t really make it officially official. He just said “most likely” when Cowher asked if it would be his last game. So there’s a chance he’s our guy again next season…

 

Will be wearing my Roethlisberger jersey with pride today. Go Big Ben!

 

Better chance he goes to another team but highly doubtful also.

 

18 years of competitive football. Can't ask for much more. Hes the last tie to some steelers greats. This is truly the end of that era. Watching the interview with cowher was amazing. Would love to have them all in a room reminiscing for some docuseries.

 

Speaking of Ben's jersey. What happened to the last games jersey?!

 

Same jersey every week. Wife bought it for me at a yard sale for $5. Authentic home jersey at that.

 

We’ve been very lucky to be Steelers fans and watch the career of a HOF quarterback. Its been an honor Ben.

 

Last year the 49ers swapped their 12 pick, two future 1sts and this year's third to move up to the 3 position. Very likely might have to move up to number 1 from midteens this year to get that QB. Unless he drops it's not happening.

 

Either way…great run Ben! Thanks for everything. Canton will need some space for yet another HOF Steeler!!

Not even close, like not even in the same stratosphere at the moment.

 

Hopefully less time goes by between Ben and the next HOFer, than passed between TB and Ben.

 

I think he's leaving so the killer B's can reunite again somewhere else. Ben, Brown and Bell.
