Schobert and Wormley are out for the Browns game

Great, Wormley recovers from his groin injury, but now has to miss the game because of Covid

 

Hopefully there aren't any more over the weekend

 

Technically, there is a slight chance they could be cleared in time, but most likely, the Steelers are going to be very short handed in the front seven again.

 

Schobert has been a big disappointment. Jax was right in what they saw.

 

You know you have a talent problem when losing guys named Shobert and Wormley has a big impact.

 

Wormley was supposed to be a backup, he has been their second best DL this season.

 

Nothing new

 

he's 2nd on the team in tackles with 108 and a forced fumble. vince never got to 100 tackles. bush is at 66 tackles. they were also taking joe off the field in certain situations. we haven't had too many linebackers over 100 tackles on the season in the last few years.

don't know but we only have 3 able to play monday at this point. UG3, spillane and allen. how do you feel about schobert now?

 

I am betting they will fore go the 8 million and cut him.

 

then we are left with buddy johnson, UG3 and bush as the only ilb'ers under contract.

 

Cut him, his play doesn't measure up to 8 million.

well bush doesn't measure up to a first rounder either. 66 tackles on the season. you have to consider what schobert can do if alualu and possibly tuiitt can come back. we are still 43 million under the cap with schoberts money on the books. he's 23 in the league right now with 108 tackles. one ahead of darius leonard. with a good bit more solo tackles. just saying.

 

Sign somebody that is going to be difference maker he is not.

 

Unless there is a "can't miss" FA available to replace him then I say no way.

Way to many draft needs to fill as it is to take one high. Plus they traded a pick to get him, albeit just a sixth rounder.

They will give him one more year before doing anything with him at all.

 

At 8 million, no way.

 

This is not going to bode in the right direction for run defense which is already way below average, I mean bottom floor. Maybe the clowns will try to go pass happy again We can only hope, Chubb and Hunt will kill us.

I also like that Wormley's arrow is pointing up.

 

If they were strapped for cash next year then I would agree....but they aren't.

 

That 8 mill will get you a pretty decent OL/DL.
