He's currently the Dolphins backup QB, I would take him over guys like Matt Ryan or Andy Dalton.

I'd just roll the dice with Mason Rudolph for next season. We've never really seen his full potential yet. I mean he can't be any worse than some other QB's in the league. Has to be better than Baker Mayfield anyways.

Even if Rudolph is the ordained starter, they should bring in as a back-up or for camp competition. If they could get Brissett cheap, then great. They are going to need to tread water at QB next year and who knows, maybe MR surprises the hell out of us.

If they really are going to give Rudolph the opportunity to compete for the job, Brissett is the kind of guy they should bring in to fight him for it. Of course, that is pretty much throwing in the towel on 2022 before it starts, but they may have to do that, anyway.

There is no way Rudolph gets the starting job handed to him "Ordained No Way"

Unless they sign Rodgers, there had better be a camp battle Royal going on for the #1 QB position.

How about Ken Dorsey brings Mith Trubisky with him next year?

If we don’t need to give up a lot to get him, I like that idea too!

I'm in Indiana so I watched him when he was on the Colts. I wasn't impressed so that's a big JaNoby from me.

I am Indianan as well (originally Pittsburgh) and fully agree. Nothing but back up material at this stage of his career.

how sad is it that we are talking about who is not the worst of the qb's we might be able to get ..

they should have been aggressively looking to get bens replacement at the minimum 3 years ago instead of being complacent with rudolf as #2.

they screwed the pooch giving ben that extension.

I'm originally from Oil City (if you are lucky enough not to know about that small town, it is about 1.5 hrs NE of Pittsburgh). Small world

It’s gonna be Mason next year like it or not. Hope for the best and double down on hope that they get the process of holes being filled underway. There is not a rookie coming to help us out of our terry to Ben years currently and to go sell the farm for free agent studs only kills the hope of addressing pointed out issues.

I won’t be surprised if Ben is back either and again, like it or not

I agree. I've posted several times on different threads that they need to bring in an affordable vet to compete with Rudolph. Besides, there is no one behind Rudolph if he goes down.

I think Ben's had enough of this train wreck. Doubt he comes back next year. There's not enough upside to offset the abuse he takes.

Nah, they need to bring in some veteran QB to compete with Mason, don't just give him the job.

Mason stats can't be much better, at least Brissett has some mobility.

He played pretty good with them at first, then he returned from an injury and wasn't as good.

If Canada is back in 2022, then a guy like Brissett could probably do more with his offense than a pocket passer like Ben.

Canada coached Brissett for a couple of years in college and he would be an obvious depth signing if they need competition for Rudolph

He is not very good at this level and I hope they set the bar higher but if they don’t like anybody in the draft and they don’t want to do a big trade for Rodgers this kind of journeyman QB might be what they are left with for now.

I could see the Giants moving on from Jones as he just hasn’t met their expectations and they have good draft ammo if they choose to use it. I’d prefer Jones as a redemption project if available, much higher ceiling than Brissett, albeit he has his issues as well
