And haven't won a postseason game in 5 years. Sorry, but being 8-8 or better is not a measure of success in my book.

If every season was a .500 record, THAT would be mediocrity.

Yeah well, speaking for myself, I'm not OK with no postseason wins for past 5 years and soon to be 3 of those last 5 seasons without even sniffing a WC game. That is well below mediocre in my book. I'm not interested in hearing about what happened damn near a generation ago.

To answer the question, should be by the end of the season. High emphasis on should.. That said, doubt it will. This is Shad Kahn we are talking about.

He is well known for being largely hands off when it comes to hiring and firings. That said, there is another major reason behind this; Urban Meyer was Shad Kahn's hand picked Coach. In short?!

Firing him is not just going to look bad for the Jaguars Organization. It will also look bad on him. That is the last aspect any Owner would ever concede to; accountability.

This is why NFL players are out of control.

Coaches can no longer make players "Take a Lap" when they get out of control.

Meyer needs to pay all his NFL practice fines and go back to college where padded practices are allowed and you can make players practice outside in the rain, until they get it right.

How many thousands or millions of dollars would Noll or Cowher been fined in todays NFL for their practices?

He was fighting with players and other coaches. He literally kicked another player. He refused to call special teams players by their names, implying they weren't even worthy of having a name. He abandoned his team in order to get laid. The list goes on, and that's just what we know. And honestly, all that would have been overlooked if they were winning. But they were losing pretty much every week and their star draft pick wasn't playing well.

Him getting fired has nothing to do with the culture of the NFL. He was incompetent, that's why he got fired.

Not quite, only a few (Harbaugh) college coaches last in the NFL. They try to handle grown men like they do college kids and that chit don't work. Different animal.

Probably more saying, " J-Ville should hire MT! After all he'll already have his QB and RB of the future."

Numerous college coaches have been successful. Many have failed, but most coaches fail anyway so it's not like college coaches have less success.

Only the best coaches stick around long term.

Saban, Spurrier, Kelly, now Meyer, etc failed. What Head Coaches at the collegiate level besides Harbaugh has been successful?

It is so funny, I just don't see anything wrong here. He is out in public with his friends and just some random girl at a bar with the music and the crowd going wild. No Grabbing, No kissing, No crazy touching.

People are trying to make this out to be on the same level as what the owner of the Patriots did at the massage parlor behind closed doors.

There’s more to that story if you care to dig. There are also additional videos of that dance that show him doing more than just a little butt grab.

I agree. Not many, and not for very long. I'm sure there are some, but I believe for every one that succeeded , I could bring up 5 that didn't, and all Great College Coaches.

Not many pop into mind, at least recently. Jimmy Johnson was one who won championships at both levels.
