Hopefully Claypool grows and matures both as a player and a person. Give him next season for the light bulb to go on and then if nothing has changed, trade him the final season of his contract.

He seems to be defiant so it’s going to be tough to get through to him. He pushes back on any criticism and doesn’t reflect on himself at all. He was literally benched for the penalty earlier in the game and it didn’t even make a dent, still cost his team with his selfish behavior.

So who is going to play WR for the Steelers is 22?

    Juju likely gone

    JW likely gone

Claypool could be traded if someone were to offer a second.

DJ would be all that's left

Claypool isn't good enough to be this big of a dumb@ss. We at least got high level play from AB's antics lol

I mentioned in another thread. The Steelers should trade Claypool in the off season, draft picks are needed.

This is going to be a down time for the Steelers coming up. There is no shame we rode a HOF QB for 18 years and had a nice run.Time for some adjustments.

What's funny is I brought up all this stuff about Claypool before the year started, and at the beginning of the year, and everyone laughed at Me when I said be nice if He could catch without jumping, and falling down, stupid adjustment , and lack of football smarts. Different things I said in different comments. Yet it took till reporters started saying it before people believed. LoL. Before that Me not knowing football, and Ben were the reasons. LoL.
Yep just thought I Pat my back here a minute.

Wrs come out every year. Most are made ,or broken by their Qbs anyway. Remember I said most not all.
Y'all that Don't believe Me....Remember that when Ben leaves why all of a sudden we can't seem 2 draft Wrs again.

This is what happens when there is no discipline on the team and the players have no fear of any repercussions for their idiotic behavior. Chuck Noll would have told Witherspoon "Nice interception, now pack your bags and get out." Cowher would have beat the living hell out of Claypool and then told him to pack his bags and get out.

Ray Fittipaldo said many players on the Steelers have disdain for Claypool, Claypool and Minkah got into a fight in training camp, Fittipaldo said TJ who wasn't practicing at the time wanted to fight Claypool too.

Claypool is a good player but needs to stop doing dumb things like COSTING SECONDS OFF THE CLOCK.

    .... :hmm:

I have reiterated this statement many times before and I believe there can be no better time than now.

The first time it is considered an accident. The second time is a choice. The third is a pattern.

Why is this being brought up in a Chase Claypool thread?! Has nothing to do with his 2021 Training Camp incidents either.

    First time: Antonio Brown. (Accident)

Second time: JuJu Smith Schuster (Tiktok videos in 2020. Ignoring the other stuff as it did not compare.)

Third Time: Chase Claypool (idiotic mental errors)

Something is quite amiss with the Steelers in terms of finding these players. Rather, how Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert keep overlooking such issues is quite the concern indeed. I hope Chase can turn it around not just for this season but moving forward. However..... cautious optimism until then.

Most of us had to grow and mature. Most of us did.

The bulb may already be on, it’s only 25 watts. That is a concern. ;)

    You can’t fix stupid.

The Claypool era in Pittsburgh probably isn't going to end well, the writing is on the wall.

Let's hope that changes. Otherwise another wasted Draft pick. He can be good, but it will take growth.

Stick 2 Your Lamar love. How's that going. Oh Yes exactly like I said it would. More teams played Him less effective his college A$$ would be. Believe I said He would suck against His own Division. What's he have one win in His Division, and He had 4 ints , and a fumble in that win. He has less TDs then Ben even if You add his rushing Tds, and 7 more turnovers. LoL . Hell they finally had one of their so called no good Wrs finally go over 100 yards after Lamar got hurt , and the backup took over. Like Cam Newton, and Ryan whatever from Atlanta big time over Hyped MVPs with one magical Lucky Year. :roflmao:

Let’s hope Claypool can put all this behind him and bounce back. He’s getting a lot of criticisms and deservedly so. For a young player it can really messed up his psyche. As long as he’s still wearing black and gold, I want him to be the best that he can
