I would trade Claypool for anything because his lack of discipline is what will always kill a teram in crucial situation. Take the idiot coaches too.

Very sad because he has the body and skill set to be a very good player in the league. But, his immaturity, most times holds him back to being average.

Hines Ward didn't have 75% of the athletic talent these guys have. But, he was a better football player because he worked hard, had heart, and didn't quit. That and he seemed to have a good head on his shoulders and didn't do stupid crap.

Look at Chase Claypool as he helped the Steelers plane leave Minnesota yesterday.

Again to me this falls on Tomlin. Starting to put him in to the AB, JuJu box of divas, yes wr are a different breed but it all comes down to the captain of the ship and what is allowed. The common denominator is Captain cliché. I said it years ago about the Steelers, everything we see on Sundays happens on Monday thru Saturday it doesn't just show up. They allow this behavior and obviously don't coach situational football. To even have the mind set to celebrate a catch with 35 seconds left down 8 in the 4th is a total lack of football sense and situational football. Make sense though because our leader has lacked situational football sense since the day he was hired. He has screwed time management up in everyway possible during his tenure. The team is direct reflection of the coach and the coach is terrible. I truly believe he would be out coached by some HS coaches if all was equal.

Agree that this is all Tomlin's brand of football. Just his thinking and using of term 'splash plays' emphasizes diva behavior. Some of the greatest coaches like Noll, Bill Walsh, Belichek would never use the term like 'Splash plays' because it emphasizes a 'Me' culture in a team sport. This encourages low IQ individuals but physically gifted like AB, JUJU and Claypool to do their Diva thing like making a scene at First Down pose etc. All of them should be fired if steelers want to win another championship.

Yeah....his maturity is lacking....Muth and Harris, 2 rookies are way out in front of him in that respect. Claypool doesn't get that AB and JuJu never brought a ring home cause they did dumb selfish stuff off and on the field that hurt the team.

I hate Claypool as much as anybody and he is at fault but when I watch that video it looked like the vikings 54 knocked the ball down when the 2 steelers are trying to hand it off. The vikings earlier in the drive kicked the ball (trying to make it look like an accident that cost us time. The refs are allowed to penalize the defense for delay of game and stop the clock when this crap happens.

Kinda missing the point . Most are kids who were coddled and fawned over all through high school and college(as far as athletics goes) .Then they get to the big show and no one ever really house broke them yet ..

Get up, secure the ball, give it to the ref or teammate, and run to your spot. What he did allowed the opponent to create more of a delay. It’s on him, anything else is just an excuse

I did say most .. Some of these kids are more humble than others .Plus Harris played for Saban ,enough said there ..I also said as far as athletics go .Pretty sure anyone in the NFL was "that kid" from pee wee on up ..It's a mind set that needs to be retaught IMO .I simply don't place ALL the blame on Claypool .He probably does it in practice too but was never pulled off to the side by anyone and told "knock that SH!t off " . There's a fine line between being told what not to do and knowing what not to do . Some players need to be house trained and it's up to the coaches to do so.

Of course they did, because he gave them the opportunity. Why wouldn't they with limited time left on the clock? If he hadn't celebrated like that, they wouldn't have knocked the ball out of his hand.

It's no different than when the whole defence celebrated after that pick. At that point we were getting thumped. I can't believe they had the nerve to celebrate. If I was Tomlin, there would be a strict rule that you will not celebrate like that unless the team is winning. You want to beat your chest or celebrate yourself, that's one thing, but a large coordinated celebration when the team is getting absolutely crushed, no, that shouldn't be permitted or tolerated.

Claypool is a lot like Martavis Bryant. All the physical talent in the world but their priority was not playing football. For Bryant it was drugs. For Claypool it's social media fame.

Agree with your point but Hines had much more athletic ability/talent than any wr we currently have. He made freakish plays and his hands were worlds better than anyone we have.

Big focus on Claypool and rightfully so, however, there should be some focus on a lack of a flag on Kendricks for delay of game.

Another thing that does not get talked about enough is the stupid false start that cost the 10 second runoff. Edit - I was 2 sheets...that actually didn't stick did it?

Just a lack of discipline across the board.
