I like Najee, but he's never going to average more than 4 yards a carry

While a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers...

He's going to try and try and try and probably shorten his career with how many hits he takes, but this team is so bad at running the ball he's going to be in the fight of his life every year to average 3.8 ypc.

His current YPC this season is 3.6 ypc, good for 45th best in the NFL.

Dude, come on. Quit choking the board with this crap.

I know, you want attention. Respect the board.

We need Guards and Centers that can beat off defenders ;)

Yes, but why waste a 1st round pick when you can achieve the same result with street FAs. Look at the Ravens who have a vastly superior running game with guys who weren't even on a roster last year.

You’re assuming that Najee will always play behind a line that can’t block?

Are you assuming that Najee is traded next season? Cause the Steelers aren't going to become an above-average run blocking team within the next 3-4 seasons, which incidentally is probably how long Najee will hold up with this type of workload and taking this many hits.

Bad pick. But he can catch out of backfield like no other.

Wow, great one. You should do standup. Tell me why you think the Steelers OL will improve significantly in run blocking in the next few seasons. Is Munchak coming back?

More time playing together. Injuries healing. Just more playing time in general. Now, tell me how you KNOW they won’t get better

Let's do a sig bet. Next season I bet Najee averages under 4 ypc. You bet he averages over 4 ypc. If it's exactly 4 ypc it's a push. Deal?

The problem is people think the OP is taking shots at Najee with this post. He's not. This is not about Najee's skills. It's about the completely awful OL the Steelers have with no likely improvement in the next 2-3 years.

He's absolutely not wrong to think as such.

Hey look at me thread again , you act like it's his fault, the OL isn't good enough but you aren't smart enough to realize that.

If I’m not mistaken Harris as more broken tackles than any RB in the league. Guys a beast. Can’t believe we’re even giving this topic air

i'm fine if he gets 4 yards every time he touches the ball. that's an automatic first down. but might not have a high ypc but damn sure hardly seems to not lose yards. i think that can have good effect so it not always a 2nd and long situation. we can't afford it. :)

I think most understand exactly where Harris' struggles are coming from. Those struggles are not insurmountable before the "next 2-3 years."

No O-Line. No holes to run through and he’s that type of back. Put him behind a decent line and I’ll bet he averages 4.5-5 yards a carry. Good receiver as well but they put way too much on him.
