We are our worst enemy. Playing terrible football and our so called professional players are making harder getting stupid penalties.

 

Steelers are a overrated under achieving mess of an organization and I’d venture to say they are an embarrassment to the ones the ones that wore the uniform. They’ve been insignificant for a decade

This franchise has been living off of their name for a long time. This new team isn’t any good

 

Steelers 2010-2020 a decade. Steelers have had one 13 win season, three 12 win seasons, two 11 win seasons. Three years they were .500. Made the Playoffs 7 of those 10 seasons. 1 SB loss.

I do understand your point but I'm guessing that decade is a lot better then most other teams in the NFL.

 

How are you overrated and underachieving both?? Make it make sense.

 

I feel that's the opinion of the owners, we are better than most just no the best, and we are cool with that.

To me that's not the Steeler way its about Lombardi's, we tout that we are the best franchise in the NFL so if your not winning Lombardi's and playoff games than what's it for?

You act like we can just build a madden team and poof win a trophy lol. There’s luck, injuries, cap, draft busts and now Covid all in between

 

As a poster said today somewhere we had 8-9 pro bowlers a few years a go and got hammered in a 1st round playoff game. We have had the talent, its lack of leadership and it looks like (my opinion) that management is ok with it. If they weren't they might affect some real change instead of the same ole same ole bs every year.

Luck? I've been taught you create your own luck when dealing with athletics and life. The lottery sure luck is involved.

Penn State

 

Let's bring that a little closer into focus. Barring some sort of miracle that causes the steelers to win out or at least beat 3 of 4 teams that will be heavily favored, this team will again miss the postseason for the 3rd time in 4 years.

Over the past 5 years (including this year) the steelers have made the playoffs only twice and got embarrassed in their first game. Once by the wildly inferior jags and then by the little brother brownies. Losing back to back to a hated divisional foe.

Just as a reminder, that same performance over a 4 year stretch (2 years with no postseason and 2 years with losses in first postseason game) got Andy Reid fired in Philly.
