First, do not speak for others and more specifically, me. Sometimes you go for it. With our missed extra point they score on that conversion, and without Watt they would have, and there’s no time to respond. Game! With less than 12 seconds I have no problem with the call as Baltimore has come back in almost every game they’ve played this year. Luckily for us, Watt got in their way this time.

    again, gutsy call.

AGREE 100%. That was pretty smart by Harbaugh. Most people won't see or get that, but it completely was on purpose. Ravens hold Steelers to a FG, they win the game. Regardless, Andrews holds on they win.

Steelers played hard and showed up, but this was as much about guys on both sides not making plays too.

The Marino reference is because he's right next door (they still share that facility) and they passed on Marino that year (who was cross town), so he obviously wasn't the can't miss prospect coming out that we retroactively make him out to be.

Big deal he passed Marino, he's still not on the same level as an NFL prospect.

Tomlin said the only injury right now is Finney with a back injury.

My point exactly, they're going to get whomever falls to the middle of the round if they think he's better than what they have.

    If not look for BPA.

You can go for it when you have a lead in your division and your nearest pursuer already lost today. He was going for the knockout to the Steelers. Not Harbaugh's fault that Andrews dropped it. Just like it wasn't Tomlin's fault today that DJ dropped a TD and that Boz turned into a pumpkin with two brutal plays.

I love the Go for It mentality by the Ravens. Hell they had it within grasp. We beat a real solid team today. Better enjoy it, BB really wants to kick ass next few games. He has a look to him. Crazy fun ride could be in store for fans.

Honestly my stomach sank when I realized they were going for 2. That said, I wished I'd dvr'd the game because I'd be watching that play over and over right now!

OK, Marino had drug use cloud hanging over him and 5 other QB's were selected ahead of him. Not saying he didn't translate into the NFL great that he is, but let's not sit here and act like he was a consensus top 10 pick when he wasn't.

Just heard that Harbaugh went for it because he was depleted at CB with injuries.

    Makes sense.

As for coaching, Steelers were fortunate - I though not blitzing on the TD under 20 seconds left wasn't a good move either.

Harbaugh elected to go for two since Murphy and their other DB was out of the game, too. Plus they had all the momentum against a “gassed@ Steelers D.

As one poster said, the Ravens have a lead for the division
