I have no clue what he is doing and why. Situation could be physical, mental, both and only he can answer that. I though he was doing fine yr 1 and didn't even focus on him this year until all the discussions on his play. Then I kept an eye on him and I am disappointed of what I saw. I didn't realize he was playing the way he is. Whatever it is that is the problem, I'd like for it to go away. JMO>

So if its the knee then he shouldn't be playing as much as he is then. Period. Working through it? Its like he isn't even out there. A ghost. Its between the ears at this point. Just look at his play. Common. But lets blame everything else and not the issue, Devin Bush. Sit him the rest of the season and let the knee get right then if in so that's what it is. He sure isn't helping at ALL!

If you listen to anyone who has come back from this injury, a large obstacle to overcome is the mental part of it. You have to be out there to get past that.

There’s a fine line. Bush clearly isn’t right in the head. If the coach stuffs him on the bench and plays whatever practice squad fodder they can come up with it only exacerbates the situation. You can’t coddle him, but you can’t scream you effing suck! What the **** is your problem, you’re a pussy either. That’s what at least one person with the iq of a dim bulb suggests should have been done with tuitt.

He’s not. He’s just trying to be positive.

Theres mounds of data for this stuff on how long it takes. I was hoping he would be able to come back strong sooner but knew in the back of my head this would be a lost year for him.

He was playing much better than this before he got hurt, he didn’t forget how to play football in the time he was rehabbing.

I'd like to know how you and strummerfan know more about what's going on in Devin's head than he does. Joe Burrow doesn't look panicky in the pocket. Wasn't he hurt after Devin?

You really think playing ILB and QB is the same? Come on man.

I don’t know the timeline or if they even have the same injury, but again, much different requirements between those two positions and what Bush game was built on. It’s not just the mental, Vince is 100% right.

Oooo, 5 people, one not even a pro at the time. Your list is absent of any ILB’s. Most impressive one on that list is the center but still not the same.

Bet I can find a list greater than five for people who took longer to come back.

LB's are only as good as the DL's in front of them. Losing Alualu and not having Tuitt is having a huge impact on the LB play. Lets see if moving Hayward to NT makes a difference.

I would hope you could, you said there were "mounds of data" out there, or some such. 30-second Google search found five quick counterexamples.

Honestly, you're starting to sound like STD with Ben.

Why bring My name into this??????
Bush was getting better every game until the injury. I can't defend His poor play right now with anything more then His injury mentally, or physically is holding Him back.
All I'm trying 2 do is look for a solution. Because clearly he's not the same, and having no real NT, or having but 1 good Safety behind Him is really expounding His bad play of late. Someone tell me what T. Edmunds reason is.
At least Ben, and Bush have excuses. Oline, and only one Good Wrs, and D line , and only one good safety plus coming off injury.

Devin's shown plenty of mobility and burst when he wants to this year.

That seems to be the key - when he wants to.

You can’t be dumb enough to believe that those 5 examples are the norm and that there aren’t far more examples of it taking longer than that.

In fact, the clue is in your own link, see if you can connect the dots.

    Is this in your mound?

    https://orthonebraska.com/acl-recovery-time-and-nfl-athletes/

"Typically, athletes will be back to their prior level of function by 9 months after surgery. Research has shown reinjury rates to be lower for athletes that returned to sport at 9 months or later."
