It is a-shame to see this happening but in reality it should be a wake up call to all players and coaches and that also includes the front office. You can’t pin this down to a few players because it is spreading like a cancer and getting worse every week. No playoffs this year. Now I can appreciate how the Browns, Bengals played like this. It hurts.

Dynasty? What the heck are you talking about? This team hasn't been a dynasty since the 1970s.

You right but we did win 2 SB since then. What we have now and maybe for awhile are not even close to playoff material .

Advancing in playoffs 4 out of 14 years is hardly a dynasty? The 70s Steelers were a dynasty. The Patriots were a dynasty. Not to pick on your headline but in my opinion I’d say they were very under achieving in this era

This team hasn’t made the playoffs consistently for a while, albeit they’ve always been in the hunt.

There are some good players still on the roster but they will have holes in the offseason. They’ll need to find a corner and bolster both lines in the draft / free agency.

QB is a huge question, Ben can’t come back in 2022. They are probably not going to be in a position to draft a QB so you’re probably looking at a stop gap veteran being brought it to compete with Mason. It’s going to take some time to turn this around.

With a very overrated Head Coach who should have been fired 4 years ago

Bush is a bust. I would rather have Vince Williams in there.the secondary is trash. The only people I would keep on def is watt and heyward. The rest of them should be playing in the cfl.i love ben but he needs to hang his cleats up.

Steelers will have no more then 7 wins, if lucky, so that could get them a QB.

Steelers were never a dynasty. Had they won SB XLV, maybe. But that would have been the Polamalu/Ben dynasty.

This last 10 years have been the Steelers being the LA Dodgers of the NFL.

Perhaps. No point reaching however. If they are not sure that their guy is there in 2022 I think the best move is to fill the many holes on the roster.

Agree, unless somebody they truly feel is special falls to them. But they shouldn't reach. Nor do I think the Rodgers/Wilson ideas a good idea; they need to use all available draft picks to fill holes and improve talent level.

My concern is we have 1st 2nd 3rd round pick, no 4th 5th not our 6th pick traded away, we have KC's 6th which will be high. Looks like it will need to be some good early picks and free agency to be competitive next year or maybe one more year of not so good to rebuild.

I think 2022 is looking like a rebuilding year. Things are not as bad as they seem right now, there are some nice pieces on this team and some young guys with upside but it’s definitely going to take a little while to right the ship.

The challenge is that they are old or unproven at alot of the premium positions, QB, CB, LT etc. They need to nail the next couple of drafts.

Understood, though there's a good chance they pick up a compensatory third.

Good point I forgot about the comp 3rd, fingers crossed we definitely need that 3rd, hopefully the comp pick formula smiles upon us.

It was a dynasty in the modern sense.

I think there are some much larger issue here and it's talent.
Someone mentioned it in the game thread but this team is missing quality.

I am not certain where the finger should get pointed whether missed drafts or coaching "up." With one piece going down we are out.

Missing 2 of 3 starters along the dline has things like today happen. We're blown off the ball on D and can't move anyone on O. There is 0 threat for us to push the ball deep and 0 reason to for teams to not test our secondary.

D issues have been exposed because of injuries on the dline. No rush worse pass D.

O issues are the opposite, 4/5 can get home against this offense and keep the LOS.

We have a big man issue and they are where all things start and stop in the NFL.

This isn't going to get better until there's a change in the culture of this organization. That starts with parting ways with Mike Tomlin.

There's no accountability. They play down to bad opponents. They no longer get up for big games.

None of this is going to get better until this happens. We're just putting band-aids on broken legs if we continue this way.

The best thing that this team can do right now, unfortunately, is lose out for the best possible draft position. However, my guess is that they don't do this, also unfortunately.
