Unreal. Looked like our second half defense out there on that last drive.

    It’s been a sloppy year.
My guess is lack of practice?

was it a disgrace that it took the Ravens making a 66 yard FG to win against them?

PARITY. It's just about anybody's game at this point. In MLB it's 99% of the time that a top 10 in payroll wins the WS. NBA give me a superstar and I'll win you a Championship.

Me and a few guys picked 5 teams and said 1 of them would win the SB. I was shocked how many different teams were picked. I think 24 of the 32 were mentioned. We just did this a few days ago. Really up for grabs!

I had the joy of being in Philly when the fans were headed to the game. That much green damaged my eyes. They are pumped and rightly so. They seem to have a QB and an offense. Most are drunk right now rooting hard for KC. I'm a huge Cowgirl fan for the moment.

Not only that, but the refs missed a delay of game penalty on the play prior to the field goal, which allowed the Ravens to pick up another 6-8 yards.

Tucker is great, but 72 may be just out of his zipcode. Unless maybe he was in Mile High...

The Braves took it this year with the 12th highest salary, at $147MM, just north of the league average of $130MM. (They also had the fewest wins of any of the teams in the playoffs, with 88). Four of ten of the playoff teams this year were outside the top 10 payroll ranking, most notably the Rays, who, at $70MM, had the 5th lowest but had the third most wins, with 100.

Technicalities aside, your general point is valid. Baseball's distribution of revenue makes it more difficult for smaller market teams to compete outside of world class draft and development or fluke years. The more relevant story to this year's football season might be the Braves - didn't have an enormous payroll, lost several key players to injury/suspension early on, kept themselves within reach of the division, got hot at the right time.

St. Louis Cardinals did a similar thing many years ago. The last biggest shock in MLB were the Florida Marlins and they broke that team up right after that. Them players wanted $$$$$.

What your really saying is the Pittsburgh Pirates have a chance.:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:;);)

Lol. Well, the Rays and their $70MM got 100 wins. The Pirates and their $54MM got 101 losses. So apparently they only need to spend $16MM more, and as a bonus they'd still $60MM under league average.

    Try emailing that to Nutting.
