Shortly ago the Steelers defeated the Giants 24-20, it was not the prettiest game ever but a win is a win. This win although felt a little more special. The best I've seen in a while. The team constantly battled adversity and overcame them and we pulled this one out.
The game ball this week should go out to the whole team, as this was the best team effort I've seen in a while. It would of been easy for the Steelers to lose focus after the "questionable" calls in the first half but they stayed focus. Props to Tomlin and the coaching staff for this.
Think about it, we held The World Champion New York Giants to just 6 points realistically and 182 yards TOTAL. That is something! For the team to stay settled and battle back from bad calls in the first half, interception in the 2nd, bad call on 4th down that led to no points and still win is huge. I hope this is the game that sets up the long winning streak for the Steelers. Now would be a good time as the Ravens are looking awfully weak and vulnerable.

For sure. That was a statement game.

The Giants are a very good team and I think we beat them worse than the score shows. The defense finally stepped up and gave a good QB some trouble.

Great post! I am just really pumped up right now! I also liked how #17 stepped up when A.B. went down. Redman ran like I always thought he could. For once he didn't just run straight ahead or was it get holes by our OL?

I agree this was the best Steeler win in awhile, good all around performance.

Absolutely agree. That was a hard fought game, and another game where the "non-starting" running back gets a 100+ game. Defense made some great stops, and great pressure when it counted most. That game was a lot better than the scoreboard. They say good teams adapt, well our good team did just that today.

They didn't just adapt. They kicked adversity in the nads and told it to piss off.

Afterwards, they kicked it in the ribs when it was down, stomped on its stomach, then put a leash and collar on it and paraded it around the field while everyone laughed.

    Adversity was shamed today.

Ouch, I didn't even consider that when I typed it. Adversity had the last laugh, it was I who was shamed. :lolol:

I felt good about this game all week, although the bad calls made me nervous. The D was in operation shutdown today. :towel:

    No doubt in my mind.

All the good sentiments have already been stated.

I haven't been this proud of the guys for a long time.

I think the 2012 Steelers have finally arrived.

    :herewego!:

    BALTIMORE. WE'RE COMING FOR YOU.

A sweet game. Nothing really for any of us to complain about. A balls out regular season game, much like us handing it to the Pats last year.

It took some time off my life, but it was memorable and awesome to see them stare adversity in the eye as they took the kill shot.

That was real nice to see, they even stopped Eli when he had a chance to lead them down the field at the end there, something I did not think they'd be able to do. Something else that was nice to see, being able to run out the clock when we got the ball back. See what a running game can do for you. Plus, another great 3rd down conversion by Ben. This was an all around great victory and has me feeling really good about the rest of the season :herewego:

A great win in dominating fashion, on the road in an emotionally charged stadium, against the defending SB Champion.

The score was much closer than the game actually was. We kicked the Sh!t out of that team up and down the field. Thing of beauty!

Actualy a lot worse than the score indicated if you subtract that gift touchdown the refs gave to them, take that gift touchdown away and the final score would be 24-13, it was a real battle considering the bad calls made against the steelers the guys could have been discouraged and quit battling, but they just kept fighting back refusing to let the refs steal the game away from them, i'm really proud of them this week, more than in any previous game they played...
