Could we see Haskins today?

Given Tomlin's well established pattern I'd say no. He didn't pull Vick when it was apparent he couldn't throw a 5 yard slant. He kept Ben in the game when he couldn't move vs the Niners. I haven't seen any evidence that he will pull anyone to get a spark.

 

Yea, only way we see Haskins is if Mason gets injured.

 

They have to see if Mason has it or not. He has to completely self destruct to get benched. And Haskins would be the #2 if he was showing in practice that he was a better option.

 

I was wondering if we might use him for a couple snaps in wildcat? Probably not though. Can't risk being down to one QB. Feel stupid asking this, but is Dobbs still on our active roster?

IF we see Haskins, then we're in big trouble. So, I pray we don't.

 

Nothing to lose as far as I'm concerned if you're dealing with an inept offense that cant move the ball. Rudolph will have had more than enough opportunity to prove himself as a starter (at the very least a dependable backup) in this league by that point. Time to move on.

 

1. I’d like to see him on a 4th and short, trying to get the Defense to jump.

2. Possibly put him in for a 3rd down RPO.

Worst thing they could do would be to have Mason on a short leash. He needs to be able to play his game, make mistakes and see how he responds. Our offense is not missing a beat at this point. Yes, maybe Ben hasn't turned it over during the win streak, but he hasn't been lighting it up either. If we pull Mason to try and add a spark, then it should be opened up to pull Ben when he is back.

 

Maybe we should have seen Haskins today??? :-(...I'm so disappointed. Nothing good came out of this tie. Everything from injuries to play calling. This was bad.
