So just reflecting on the job KC did this spring in draft. Not only are our first 4 draft picks starting on offense, but Roche had a huge impact on Giants W today over Raiders and Norwood and Loudermilk have also contributed a bunch here as well. Wish we still had Roche but not a bad haul.

No doubt in my mind he did. More often than not he does; Pittsburgh's continual playoff appearances since 2000 being a major highlight of this. He has had his fair share of failures in the draft but his successes far outweigh them.

Do not forget Pressley Harvin III and Isaiahh either. Those two have been positive contributions as well. Regarding the likes of Roche, Jamir Jones did end up outplaying him in the Preseason. Realistically speaking, the fact that both are on NFL Roster is just further indication of how successful the 2021 Class has been.... thus far.

Remember that it will be a while yet to fully determine how well this draft class performs. That said though, all is well for the time being.

It's OK...We just charge $19.95 for every repeat thread. Not a bad price.
After 10 repeat threads in a 6 months period... it only cost the last digit of your pinky finger, but if You don’t do a repeat thread in the 6 month period....one is wiped off Your record.
Now Have fun on the board.

You only charge $19.95. @SteelerGlenn is a stickler for the rules. He charges $150.

This was a good draft by Colbert. Worthy of two threads. Muth and Najee will be Pro Bowl calibur players for years to come. Moore and Green will be solid starters for years to come. Norwood looks to be a guy that can be a steady contributor. Loudermilk is beginning to show why the Steelers traded up for him.

The only real head scratcher is Quincy Roche. I am guessing there is a reason he was released that none of us know about.

I'm also not sure if Buddy is even going to pan out. But when you get that much talent in one draft it is hard to complain.

I totally agree. It's just Roche was My pick.....LoL. I just thought He was a steal ...Hell I thought He was way off the board when We grabbed Him. Ok I will stop complaining. He's gone. So I will drop it.
I believe our last 2 drafts have been Very good.

I would not count out Buddy just yet. Buddy is not contributing in any way due to being the classic victim of success by circumstances; a numbers game for this season. Both Spillane and Allen are not full guarantees to make the Roster in 2022; Allen being the more secure of the two but only due to a one year extension. If anything, it is not out of the question that both will be gone by the time the 2022 NFL Free Agency Period begins. Granted, of the two, give me Spillane as he is the more seasoned player but I digress all the same.

Regarding Quincy, see my post above.

I am not counting Buddy out. Sometimes it takes these guys a year or two to contribute. Everything you said is valid. However, sometimes it is just a matter of a rookie not being ready to play. I think that is the case with Buddy Johnson. If the coaches thought Buddy was capable, he would be out there.

As for Roche, I am speculating. But I do think there is more to his release than what we all know about. Just a hunch.

Kind of wondering- why is it when we have a good draft pick, “Colbert nailed it”, but when one is bad or questionable, it’s Tomlin’s fault?

I think all of these drafts are a collaborative effort. Tomlin deserves his share of the credit as well.

That’s because Maryland sucks in general lol. It’s about time the Steelers start drafting PSU and Bama dudes. Maryland football players end up on the practice squad around 495.

He takes the entire pinkie. But if you stay clean for six months, he’ll give it back.

Sucks Roche didn't stay here. With how crap worked out with Ingram, Roche could of stayed here. But glad to see the guy playing well and make a game ending play yesterday.
