He certainly improved in run support as the game went on, but not on the TD play. It really should have been a pick.

Yeah he did blow it there but im sure if you could ask him and he explained it you would be like "Oh, I get it"... in the heat of the game in those high pressure situations stuff like that happens... but its scary cuz those are the situations where EVERYONE rly need to step up

My only guess is that he thought Clark had position and didn't want to mess it up. Either way that touchdown made me sick.

Having been at the game, Troy completely gave up on the play. He just watched Green catch it. Otherwise he didn't play too bad. But that one play was brutal.

I think he saw Clack was in good position to get the Int and did not want to break up the INT, But Clark layed an egg.

Yeah, I didn't even consider that at the time, but it's probably why he wasn't aggressive on that catch.

That was a bad play on Troy's part. Clark was in good position, but could not see the ball. Troy is the extra guy to go up and make a pick. Troy quit on that play. He made some other plays during the game.

Troy is great, but say what you want Troy quit on that play and just stood there and watch Green catch it. He could of easily of just knock it away. For some reason he didn't. Disappointing.

Yeah, that pissed me off! He took his fricking eyes off the ball and turned to look at the receiver! He was looking at the ball just a second before it landed in Green's lap. That's the problem with our DB's. They don't look at the ball, they look to take heads off. They need to stop this and we'd be even more dominant on defense. This always bothered me the last decade.

I think the coaches were really slow on the uptake on this one. When it was an obvious passing down they were picking on Gay who had tight coverage but couldn't always make a play on the ball. In those situations it looked like troy was up close in run support and if they had adjusted to have him underneath on some of those throws he would have an easy pick.

Better to wait and hear him explain that play. There is more to it then we are seeing.

Clark should have had the middle of the field I think. It looked like ike handed him off to troy and I think he thought he had help inside. I dont know that is just what I thought. either way troy used to make that play.

Both of them (Clark & Troy) have not played at a great level on coverage in several games.
This play was on both of them, since it was a Cover 2 and the receiver was on a post pattern.

Maybe Troy thought Clark had good position & Clark the same of Troy. Anyway, miscommunication on the perimeter always leads to allowing big passes.
Our bye comes at a great time to make ajustments and let veterans rest a bit.

There is really no explanation for it needed ,it was a terrible play on his part. You don't expect someone else to make a play you go get the ball. There can't be more to it than that, theres no excuse. You could just hope they learn from their mistakes.

I think he did believe that Clark was going to make a play. Clark has laid some eggs lately and it is pretty disgusting. Taking penalites at the incorrect time as well. Luckily it worked out well but last week he looked like chit on the winning touchdown.

Troy got caught standing flat footed like he didn't even know where he was. One too many blows to the head maybe.

They both laid eggs on that play. You have to go after the ball and not expect Clark to make the play. Better to have both go for it and have it be incomplete than stand there and let them score that TD. Thought I was witnessing another late game meltdown until gay made his play. Whew!

I was thinking the same thing,, he's been hit enough by Clark this year and he saw him coming expecting the big hit. Troy had the arms up getting ready to defend himself lol

Bad play by Troy. He has to try and break that up, Clark or no Clark. I don't know what he was thinking there

Troy can't take for granted that Clark would make the play, especially if would have been IKE instead and the ball was going to hit him in the numbers.

Oddly enough, GAY has a better pass defense percentage than Troy... ???

Actually I seen the play a little different than some I guess.......

IMO Green just fooled Troy.....It seemed that Green may have made Troy think the ball was coming down sooner and closer to where Troy was at......So IMO this caused Troy to slow and turn and look for the ball and when he did he basically took himself out of the play.......He could have got a PI if alone I think ,but he seen the other DB was in better position to make a play than him so he just stayed clear......

What a terrible play by Troy, and he is suppose to
make that type of play. He needs to get his head on straight over the bye.
We will need him badly thruout the rest of the season.
