On paper the Browns are the best team in the AFCN. They're currently at the bottom of the division. This is because it takes more than the best 53 individual players. A player can excel on one team but be horrible on another. Imagine Lamar Jackson behind our line for example.

Football is a team sport. Suggesting the Steelers should've picked one player over another based on how he plays elsewhere isn't realistic. Just because it looks good on paper doesn't mean it's going to work with your team.

I knew that. Prince was an amazing talent... but he got bested by both Sinead O'Connor and Chris Cornell. Both of those artists OWNED him on their covers of "Nothing Compares 2 U." Just like Jimi Hendrix did with Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower." Hendrix kicked Dylan's ass.

Actually most Dylan covers were better than his originals.

I liked Guns'n'Roses cover of Knocking on Heavens Door better than Dylan's. I liked Dylan's original, though. I was born in '72... so Dylan was before my time.

In hindsight, Watt should have been a top 5 pick. I’m glad that 29 other teams passed on him

I like the Dave Mathews band cover of it from Red Rocks. Dylan is a great lyricist but his singing is terrible. Saw him live and it was awful sounding.

Hurricane by Dylan was his best song, IMO. I'm GenX... so my opinion doesn't mean much.

Dylan was in my college town the week before I saw one of the greatest concerts ever, in the year of our lord.... Halloween 1993. Melvins opening up for PRIMUS. :hardrock:

Agreed. I seen them open for Pantera at a stadium, and Later a band named Drain open for Type O at a club. LOL

Hurricane is awesome but it's Positively 4th Street for me as being my favorite Dylan song.

We have been over this many times, Leonard was never going to be their pick even if it wasn't Edmunds, the case for Edmunds he's a size/speed guy and played at a Power 5 school.

That's the problem, people insisting that it is just hindsight. It's not. I was among quite a few people who realized that was a horrible pick the moment it was announced.

You opinion of what they might have done is irrelevant. I'm talking about what they should have done, and that was choosing Leonard.

Ah, the 2018 draft. The Ravens got Haden Hurst, Lamar Jackson, Orlando Brown, and Mark Jackson in the first three rounds.

Could someone remind me, as I'm old and forgetful, how many Super Bowls those four have won?

You've been doing a lot better with not reverting to misdirection in your arguments lately (debate with BF over Aditi aside) - I've enjoyed reading them. Let's not regress now.

    No, I didn't.

    No, you haven't.

This = examples of the alleged "vast majority" that had Leonard ranked ahead of Edmunds by a "huge margin." You never provided links backing up this claim. Instead you challenged others to find anyone that just had Edmunds ahead of Leonard - a few, including myself, did.

    I didn't dispute this.

Nothing here's troubling me. Not even STD and his numbers/words thing. I mean, I say it does, so he keeps doing it, just to get under my skin. Joke's on him, though, because I blocked him before he even joined the board. Wait. Is STD really Prince? Think about it. Famous song penned in Twitter-ese, blurry avatar pick, prime menu for the big game is baked fish, wears heels to feel tall. Sometimes you don't see the truth til you see it.

In the post that started this latest round of the same old discussion (I'm sure the board is loving that you chose to drag it out.), I wrote "Leonard was ranked as high or higher than Edmunds on just about every pre-draft ranking out there, some by a huge margin."

You are now misrepresenting that as me posting that the vast majority of them had Leonard ranked ahead of Edmunds by a huge margin. You either missed the times I backed that up or you aren't being honest. If you are going to attack my posts, at least do it accurately.

The Steelers played that season with Vince Williams, Jon Bostic, and LJ Fort as their ILBs.
