Banner is a messiah to some around here. And he hasn't done squat.

They will have to keep it up, complacency gets you no where.
Rookies starting Center, TE, LT, RB 2nd year OG 3rd year OT
Young wide receivers. If they keep improving we could be competing much, much sooner
The demise of the PGH STEELERS is overblown. Did I mention
possible superstar at RB, OLB 2nd year.

But Garrett and the Browns DL didn't wreck the Steelers OL like Maddog said they would .

It makes some sense, though. He comes across as a decent enough guy. He worked his way onto the team and into a reserve/extra tackle role in 2019 before winning the right tackle job in 2020. Then, before even finishing his first start, he blew out his knee. That made him a sympathetic figure. It also ensured that he wouldn't be seen screwing up and he wouldn't have the stink of last season's offensive line issues on him.

They are rounding in to a scrappy bunch. They weren't perfect last Sunday, but they sure as hell were a big factor in the win.

I can dig it! Hopefully they’ll all be gelling at a good clip loosening up things for Harris and he’s starts stacking them big gains. Need the rotation to show up to give the man a blow... he’s getting a ton of work which is typical round here!

They're playing good enough that Banner is healthy, but he can't get on the field.

Some of that run pulling and offsets were a thing of beauty. I haven’t seen that in so long. Combine that with Najee’s hitting the lane they made was just beautiful. Man he’s fearless!

My favorite draft pick,KG, has had his issues but against the stains he was getting it. He’s so quick and with that badger like relentlessness I think he’s going to be a good one for us.

To be fair we could not be much worse. I'd take that QB hits allowed list with a grain of salt.... our offense and game plans have more to do with that than actual pass protection. Where do we rank in yards per pass ? Our plays have Ben dumping the ball quicker than most teams. That's by design. Ben would be dead if he was dropping back and throwing deep like we used to.

I would honestly feel bad if I'm the reason you're in therapy. You need to lighten up a bit. It's just a game.

Pittsburgh ranks 27th in Yards Per Attempt via this link here. If one elects to glance at the "last three" option however, Pittsburgh is much better; 12th being their ranking if just accounting for the previous three. Of the two, I would use the previous three rankings as a more accurate methodology as the Offensive Line was still very much in development within the first four weeks and thus, is not a good indicator of the Offenses overall abilities as there are big play options available.

This all said, one aspect that has to be taken into account is Big Ben actually pushing the ball down the deep middle of the field more so than he has during the first five weeks. Prior to that, pass attempts in the deep sidelines to the sidelines themselves were his main bread and butter. This seems to be no longer the case; doubly so if Pat Freiermuth can continue his ascension with the continual improvement of the Offensive Line.

In short? The Matt Canada Offense has had its fair share of ups and downs this season; some more egregious than others. However, the concern of this Offense was never about how it would look coming out of the gates but how quickly and efficiently it could improve over the course of the season. So far, proof positive indeed. That said, need to continue to do so if the Steelers are to continually stack wins; reach their goal of the playoffs doubly so.
