This is a bad cap year

If OBJ is cut, he will sign a minimum deal with Tampa

Doubtful since Tampa is loaded with WRs. Godwin, AB, Mike Evans...not to mention Gronk, Brate and OJ Howard are all elite receiving TEs too

I could see like Green Bay, Las Vegas, New England picking up the Odell PBJ (Peanut Butter and Jelly)

Green Bay could definitely use him but have to wonder if his exit is going to hurt him catching on with another team.

From someone on his team: He doesn’t say anything, doesn’t talk to anyone, a real malcontent. I’m paraphrasing but that was real close to what was said about him.

Average? Come on. In NY he was one of the best WR on par with AB at his prime.

This is a false statement. Brown was always a diva the fans just didn't know to what degree at that time. As long as they were winning all manner of behavior was tolerated and glossed over. His 5 for 25 or 50 streak was just complete horse s#@&. Team cared more for keeping his streak alive than winning at times.

I would do it for the right price, especially if it is just for the remainder of this year. Do you want to win or not? Because you are crazy if you think OBJ would not contribute more to this team than Cody White.

If you believe that OBJ will be signed by the Steelers, you probably also expect JFK and JFK jr. to show up and make the announcement….

ESPN is thinking that the Ravens will take him but they are 25th in line to get him. 24 teams including the Steelers will have to pass on him to get to Baltimore.

I think it will be Jimmy Hoffa as soon as he cleans the cement off himself.

OBJ hasn't been good for awhile, at this point he's more name than game.

I don't want OBJ. I can't stand him. He's a distraction among other things. But if you've watched him play like I have, you know that he's an amazing off script WR. He will find openings. He will find holes in zone coverage. If you have a QB that likes to improvise and not necessarily rely on strict timing, OBJ would be deadly (and has shown that already).

Ben and OBJ would have been incredible together once upon a time.

These are the teams that have the cap space. I expect he will clear waivers, be a free agent, and Cleveland will be paying the rest of that salary just to be rid of him.

Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 4 waiver priority), Washington Football Team (No. 7), Philadelphia Eagles (No. 8), Seattle Seahawks (No. 9), Denver Broncos (No. 17), Carolina Panthers (No. 19), Los Angeles Chargers (No. 20), Pittsburgh Steelers (No. 21) and Cincinnati Bengals (No. 22).

There is literally no spot for him. You think OJB would be happy as a bench player.

The WR’s on that team are team players because there are weeks guys don’t eat but don’t they complain because they know it’s impossible to get enough targets with that many good WR’s, the hot hand gets fed.

OJB doesn’t have that mentality, wouldn't be able to do it. Probably would be fun to see the eventual brawl between he and AB though.

So that is why Cleveland never threw to this amazing player and could not find any use for him? Just wondering. Sounds like he was a classic risk vs reward scenario where the risk out weighted the reward.

OBJ is an excellent route runner but his gameplay in one-on-one match ups with kicking nets leaves something to be desired

Who cares about Cleveland. Look what he did with Eli. The dude can play, but he has serious flaws to his game. As I said, he's an impulsive, instinctive player. He doesn't rely on timing as much as some WR's. Tom Brady would hate him. Sandlot style Ben would love him.

Why hasn't he worked out in Cleveland? I have no idea. Maybe injuries have robbed some of his explosiveness. Maybe Baker hates him. Maybe Baker can't hit him in stride. Maybe he doesn't care anymore and doesn't try. Who knows. But the dude can absolutely play when he wants to and when he's in the right situation.

He had 3 great years, one good year (12 games) and one year where he only played four games because of, I think an Achilles rupture while with the Giants. He had 70+ receptions, over a thousand yards but only 3 TD's in his first year with Cleveland (2019). He appeared in 7 games last year and caught 23 passes for 319 yards and 3 TD's. To date, he has 17 receptions for 232 yards and no TD's.

I think his best years are behind him and he's frustrated. No matter what his issues are, the Steelers seem to have a pretty tight group. No need to bring the NFL equivalent to covid into the room to stir sh!t up. Let him become someone else' problem.
