Von Miller is being traded from the Broncos to the Rams for 2 day two picks. That's a very low price for someone who is still a top tier pass rusher.

I wonder if we could get something for Devin Bush (who is being subbed out for Spillane now anyway, despite being healthy), Edmunds, Washington or Ebron?

True. Maybe we get a single day two pick for him.

Given the fact that Miller was a hot commodity for the trade market, I would only imagine that Ingram's value has gone up. How much will be determined. That said, should the Steelers acquire a 4th for him, that is a major win as far as I am concerned.

The Rams are swinging for the fence this year by mortgaging their future. It’s a tactic that will bite them in the rear if they don’t win it all.

Nothing is guaranteed in the NFL. If you have a shot at winning it all, you take it.

Two day two picks is more than I’d have given up for Miller at this stage of his career, he is nearing 33 and really hasn’t been the force of old for some time.

I can see why the Rams traded for him but I think the Broncos will come out better here, more ammo to trade up for their new QB in 2022

I don't understand it....they lead the league in sacks....is there something else they are not so strong at that they could have used???

Yeah, it's not a bad move for either team considering their current respective directions. The Broncos made out fine taking on some salary while netting a second and third in 2022. The Rams have become one of the most aggressive teams in the league when it comes to building on the present, which isn't necessarily a bad thing with as quickly as things can change in today's league.

But while teams should certainly keep an eye on throwing a few chips down if they feel they're a contender, the Rams continue to leverage young talent for established. They've been a solid team during McVay's tenure, but t's going to take some nimble cap and talent management to avoid a potentially significant reconstruction phase.

Miller’s contract is up this yr. so the Rams have him for 10 games plus playoffs. I read somewhere that Den was taking most of the rest of his salary for 2021. Thats probably why the Rams gave up two high picks for him. They got a good player in the D with very little cap hit, but had to pay Den a high price to get it.

Yes, but maybe we can still get a 6th for him from Cleveland. Their organization is screwed up enough to trade us for a player we don't have.

He is though. He has 50 career sacks. He's only 32, not some old geezer. Alex Highsmith has 3.5 career sacks, 1.5 sacks this season which is only 0.5 sacks more than Ingram and Highsmith has been the starter the entire season...

    Anything is possible.

They can easily get into the playoffs and lose to an upstart who many would consider being not worthy of being there.
