Serious refs? Why even bother playing the game?

The NFL has apparently decided that the Giants will win this game no matter what. Just so far in the first half we have a phantom PI call that was a clean pass defense, then a phantom PF called a helmet to helmet by Clark where it wasn't even close. Then a bullcrap "fumble" that should have been in incomplete pass and an obvious block in the back on the run back. WTF???? I am beyond pissed. The officials have given the giants 14 points. FU Goodell

for the first time in my life I think i am done. That was an obvious incomplete pass and anyone with normal inteligence knows it. The NFL wants the Giants to win. Wow.

How can an NFL go in a replay booth and say his hand was coming forward without the ball which is the rule.

They can't control the bad calls. Nothing can be done about the bad calls now. They have to find a way to over come the bad calls. There is a entire 2nd half to play.

You are right and we do have to overcome those calls. However, but I did find if VERY interesting that Roger Godell happened to be there smiling and having his picture taken numerous times before the game and now all of these horrible calls. It is as if the NFL is saying the Giants will win this game today regardless of who plays better!

Did I see Goodell behind the Steelers bench asking Clark for his checkbook for the "head to head" hit?

call on Clark was BS! Brown didn't cross the goal line and Ben had control and a forward pass! Wemust play against the refs as well today. the Steelers are controlling TOP and basically outplaying the Giants.

The day I believe the "fix is in" is the day I stop watching sports. I got better things to do with my time then to watch WWF football.

the fix was in but we played so much better than the giants , without the refs should have been 34 at 7

I doubt the fix is in, but the refs did make some horrible calls that they should receive some punishment over!

I loved the words Tomlin just used referring to "some" of the calls being questionable at best".

It is too bad that will require him to get out his checkbook, don't you think? Should we start a collection for Coach Mike?

I just wish the NFL would publicly state that many of those first half calls were terrible. However, the NFL will find a way or some rule from 1924 giving the officials permission for those calls.

Agreed. There's no fix. Roger Goodell hasn't told the refs to call flags on us, nor are the refs intentionally making bad calls against us. It was incompetence, not a conspiracy theory.

You are right, however, I still like to blame Roge when I can. It is more fun! (In all seriousness, I just never saw a first half of any NFl game called that way even with replays.)

I was worried in the first half with all those bad calls I thought we were going to get screwed for sure. It was good to see the team overcome those bad calls.

The refs eventually lose their jobs if they don't grade out favorably.

I don't blame the Giants, but this game was a shameful crock of sh*t. I am so ashamed of the NFL. I don't believe the refs intentionally messed up calls-- but they were definately intimidated. With Goodell at the game, and the whole huricane mess, the refs were OBVIOUSLY (perhaps unconsciously) BIASED AGAINST the Steelers. EVERY close call went in favor of the Giants. NUMEROUS penalties commited by the Giants were overlooked. SHAME ON YOU GOODELL-- YOU HAVE RUINED PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL. SHAME ON YOU. Can this a-hole be impeached?? (Pardon my French)

Any one know why they didnt flag the giants for unnecessary roughness on that Cotchery catch? All that was need is to touch him and the play would have been ruled done. The fact that he dove at a player on the ground and lead with his helmet kinda suggest the very definition of unnecessary.
