Duo Blocking - why can't we do it too?

The Seahawks employed a duo blocking scheme last night where their OL would just double team our 3 down lineman which opened up massive holes for Alex Collins who went for 101 yards and a TD on just 20 carries.

Our OL is awful at run blocking and Najee Harris is in the fight of his life each run to get past the LOS. Harris is trying so hard, yet he's averaging 3.8 ypc this season (39th in the NFL).

Why the heck can't we do "duo blocking" too with our OL? The concept is simple. LT and LG double one DL. C and RG double another. RT and TE take the third. Collins was getting 2-3 yards past the LOS before first contact.

I wondered if the Ravens would miss him after all their running issues but sadly they seem to be doing fine.

Yep, Steelers were sitting back daring the Seahawks to run. They only changed it up late in the 4th.

You can always tell when someone watches, but doesn’t know or understand what they’re watching.
