After seeing what I’ve been seeing tonight, I’m souring on Fitzpatrick. He’s too piss poor of a tackler. Hard pass on a big extension.

Seems like poor tackling is a prerequisite to be a Steelers DB.

He whiffed terribly on a few tackles tonight, not what you expect after the hype of the previous season.

Then again Bush needs some tackling practice as well, LB's should all be solid tacklers.

He forced a fumble, but the Steelers didn't recover it.

You have to seriously wonder if Minkah isn’t hurt. Almost seems like he has a bum shoulder. He’s never been bad at tackling till this season.

It’s possible, I only found out about Ben’s hip injury until tonight from Collinsworth.

They were talking about Ben's hip even before last weekend's game. If Minkah idnt showing up on the injury report then he shouldnt be playing the way he is playing.

Answer: The Steelers coaches happened to Minkah Fitzpatrick. Between them mysteriously going away from the Ingram rotation, playing Spillane as the dime LB, and this early move, it seems our defensive coaching staff appears to get in the way of the talent rather than putting them in the best position to succeed.

Dude. They have him covering for so many deficiencies in the Backfield it's crazy. Just watch one whole game, and Just watch Him. There is like 3 Guys out there they are saying...back them Up.

I noticed lots of bad tackling last year. He takes really bad angles. I don't think he's terrible but I do think he was way overrated when we picked him up. He started out great but maybe he's trying to do too much and it has dropped his performance.

It's like John Elway and finding QBs. Something that supposed to be a specialty but is an Achilles heel.

Minkah had probably his best game this season against the Bears, solid tackling.

You know that Tomlin was a WR as a player? Bruce Arians was a WR coach for a time. Does it really look like that fat slob could play or really teach anyone about being a WR?

Just wanted to bring this back to the top, because now that you saw what our defense looks like without him, maybe you'll know how valuable he is.
