Some of the wishes I have for tomorrow's game:

-Redman running for his life... & proving he's worth to keep after his contract expires (this year)
    -Rainey getting more touches
-Our running game needs to get at least 90+ rushing yards (maybe 60 - 75 from Redman)
-If Redman runs for more than that (75 yds) would it mean that Dwyer is not THAT special, or that our O Line is becoming a strong unit?
-Brown finding the endzone (but this time, without penalties, for God's sake)
-Miller: do what you've been doing
-OL: keep Ben clean. Don't give more than 2 sacks. After Tuck's comments, you'll be under the microscope (that whinning kind of speach should be fined)
-Ben having a good game, involving all his targets. No ints thrown. No drops for 1 game, please!
-A long ball to Wallace would be nice too
-Woodley & Harrison: 2 sacks combined (at least, put some heat on Eli)
    -Clark: a gamechanging play
-Ike & K Lewis: it's your hardest test together so far, don't let them play for long balls
-Our D should be able to create a couple of turnovers. A DB interception would be nice too! (Am I asking too much?)
-No stupid penalties. One particular wish: no penalties from our special teams (PR/KR)
    -Stay healthy, no significant injuries
-And a W. And that will make a statement all around the league by itself.

-Of course, a Browns' win will help too!

    What are yours?

    No turn overs from us.
Get pressure on Eli, he will make mistakes if pressured.
Ball control by us TOP about 33 min.
We must create some turnovers, see above rushing the passer.

What plays a bigger factor? Giants players having to contend with the aftermath of Sandy and what effect that might have on their play, or the fact the Steelers are flying in the morning of a game?

I think this is going to be a real tough test on our O-line. We've had some tough games before, but this is the best Defensive line in football. Max has been great this year, let's hope he continues today. I would like to see Adams get some help on the right side.

This is going to be a game that Ben has to win for us. I think our secondary is going to be pushed to the limits going up against Nicks & Cruz. I expect a shootout. The question is, can we keep Ben upright to make enough plays to get us more points than the Giants.

This is the first game this year that we are going into that I think we could lose. Its not a good feeling. But then again, we have Ben Roethlisberger, anything is possible!

    3 things scare me today...
1-Cruz against Ike.... If we employ the scheme we used in Cincinnati that will help. BUT Eli wont be scared to pull the trigger like Big Red was!
2-JPP and the Giants D-line. When they decide to really get after the Qb they are scary! After all that has gone on this week in and around NY and NJ they will be playing with alot of emotion..Also, i hope We dont throw many bubble screens to JPP's side.I'd really hate to see him have another pick 6...
3- Eli against our D..He dosen't not see the open guy. He's not afraid to throw the ball and let his WR get it even if they looked covered and other than Ben nobody is better @ 4th quarter comebacks.....

    3 things i like today
1-Ben and the offense has been playing better and better the last few weeks..I think that our running game is gonna suffer without Dwyer today though. We don't need a big run game today just enough to set up the play action..
2-Our WR against the Giants secondary...They have been giving up a bunch of passing yards and DEEP passing yards. But, unlike our secondary they do catch the ball. Heath & Paulson should have a good game. The Giants struggle to cover the TE and there middle LB is out..
3-The Giants like to put the ball on the ground..ESPECIALLY Bradshaw...Knock on wood we been pretty good so far this year NOT turning it over..let's hope that continues! But, against this team we should be in the + category...
3*- Special teams..I got a feeling we are in for a couple big plays!
Like i said before with all that has gone on this week in that area the Giants and the fans are gonna be fired up..We HAVE to start fast on offense and defense and get the crowd out of it... No Dink and Dunk this week it's Fast and Furious!
Here we go STEELERS here we go! :yeehaw:
If we could get this one i'd be a happy Steelers fan living in NY...Would be 2-0 in NY this year and i have all the bragging rites!

pretty nice assesment. this is also why i think rainey could be a real asset to us out of the backfield in this one as well as heath, will johnson and paulson. they have a few hurt LB'ers. our deep speed makes the db's have to cover them. underneath for big gains will be the ticket.

let's win this so brister can have bragging rights.

I think the Giants are getting way more credit/respect than they deserve and the Steelers (particularly the Oline) are not getting enough. As far as the OL goes-I hope the weakest link, Starks, shows up and Heath doesn't have to stay in to block. Adams has been so good at right I fear he gets stuck there, but maybe Gilbert could be better at LT than RT.

As long as the Steelers don't commit a lot of turnovers this is their game. The secondary has been good and I don't care bout the 7 drops the Skins had-only 2 were for more than a couple yards and they got the TD back on the same drive.

    YEAH what he said!
They say Will Johnson is very fast and athletic for a guy his size....Hard for Lb's to cover and we have seen his good hands...Taking that into consideration..
I'd like to see them run something with an I-formation W.Johnson & Rainey + Heath & Wr. Get the D with there BIG personal on the field and split the backs out...No d's big personnel would be able to cover those guys especially if the WR is Wallace...JMO Just picture it Wallace and W.Johnson on one side and Rainey and Heath on the other.... But that's probably why i'm a Bus driver and not a Offensive coordinator... :hehehe:
