And then there’s the guy that doesn’t enjoy anything and has to make sure no one else does either.

Is he related to the guy who insists Steeler football isn't that important to him all the while he spends every day on a Steelers internet message board?

I've been on the negative side for a long time now, but I get tons of enjoyment out of a Steelers win. My issue is I just don't have faith in this team being able to win a championship and I have felt that way for a very long time. It's hard to feel good about the team when you believe that the coaching staff is holding the team back and nothing is being done to address it. It's been almost 10 years now where I felt like we had enough talent to truly compete but Tomlin has held us back. Seeing the same issues year after year drives me crazy.

I'm still as big of a fan as anyone on here, but I find I've withdrawn from discussing the team as much as I used to because it's such a source of frustration.

Personally I think Colbert and Tomlin both need to go. Tomlin was a horrible hire. I will never forget the interview where he admitted that he's not much of an X's and O's guy. Quite frankly, it shows.

You’re definitely not who the OP had in mind. This thread went off the rails, you and a lot of fans responding to this are not who it was intended for.

Really that's your take on Glenn. If anything I've never heard Glenn say Steeler Football wasn't important to him more that he is realistic in that knowing he has zero control over anything the team does and beating a dead horse about those things isn't productive.

Spot on. If you’ve ever seen Glenns Steeler Cave, you know Steeler football is important to him.

The one saving grace is that even though the season lasts for 4 months the amount of games played versus other sports give more instant gratification than say an 82 game schedule where you know by mid-season they have no shot.

I don't know about other people but the boards are for venting, IMO, so it makes sense that there is more traffic after a loss as there is more to vent about. Personally my participation is probably going to wane all season as it becomes more and more clear that we aren't very good.

There was an actual trend shortly after the board started that members(myself included) would begin breaking down flaws in the win within the first 8 hours of the final whistle. So then it was just be happy with the win and enjoy it versus those of us who could only take so much high fiving and awesome air kicks and want to talk football. Long story short the community balanced itself out.

Off the rails? It started as a shot against fellow Steeler fans and continued as such.

Boo hoo. The day I worry about troll feelings is the day I stop being a Steelers fan.

Doesn't hurt my feelings at all, but ironic you call me a troll on a post that was a classic troll job.

If it was aimed at another particular group of fans, you and the other wannabe hall monitors would have shut it down immediately.

    "Mod Team"?

Attempted slam aside he knows about Glenn's man cave because we are a community and while intense debate happens frequently because of our passion for the team and the game end of the day we are all Steelers fans.

Yes and no. The Steelers can be very much like Detroit. That's what is frustrating. We go 11-0 last year and look great and then we put on a Detroit Lions imitation show and look very much like them being like who knows what when the season ended. Each week I have no clue whether we'll look like SB contenders or a Lions/ Jax impersonator. Same this year. We go to Bills and look like a contender then, well, you know.

You’re making an ass of yourself, go read STDs OP, the hint is in there. Read it slow, then slower until you figure it out.
