Justin Tuck says "I hope we get some holding calls because they have gotten away with murder,". "They've done a very good job protecting Ben -- they don't hold on every play. But we've seen a whole lot of it."

This is pretty lame IMO. If you aren't familiar with the Giants, someone on their team usually runs their mouth during the week. Sometimes, the main reason is in hopes to encourage ghost calls. Gilbride did a very similar thing a few weeks back before the 49ers game. All I can say is- pin it on the bulletin board boys. Get Willie pissed and turn him loose. :clapping:

Justin likes to talk smack as he did on the Atlanta Falcons calling the offensive line "dirtbags" back in Jan. prior to the wild card game!

They need to pancake his ass every play for the first quarter, then after each one tell him "That will cool your ass off!"

As one of the men responsible for the defeat of Tom Brady in the Super Bowl (twice, right?), I am happy to agree with anything Mr. Tuck has to say. "Why, yes Justin, the moon is made of spare ribs. How observant of you!"

A lot of offensive players get away with murder, even if they're playing within the rules. That's how it is. I might be taking this further than the rest of ya, but I really do hold Tuck and the rest of the Giants in a high esteem because of what they did for me (stop me from blowing my brains out). I wish all the Giants from those two teams well (except this week).

Pancake Justin Tuck on every play?? Not sure Faneca in his prime could even do that?

What I like about this (other than bulletin board material) is the fact that the Giants beat the Cryboys last week. Coughlin would have been laying into them all week long had they lost that game after taking a big lead. No way he spouts off garbage had he been getting screamed at all day during practice. They will be flat and The Steelers will be ready. JMHO.

Hey, I can hope. Even if they just get him a couple of times. Hell, why not the cut blocks they use against the Snack? I'd be happy with that.

This is just gamesmanship, trying to put it in the heads of refs and media prior to a game in NY where they just had a hurricane sweep through.

Poor Giants have so much to deal with, and not these cheating Steelers show up....

Hope the refs are watching both OL if that is the case. Maybe they will call 15 or 20 of the holds on Woodley and Harrison that dont normally get called.

This isn't very smart of Tuck since he'll be playing with a bad shoulder ;) we need Gibert back so he can fall onto it

Get rid of it quick Ben. This maybe one of those ball games
where you will take a beating. There are too many mismatches
with our OL. I truly expect atleast 5 holding calls on our OL, just to keep
#7 in the game. Also do not expect Heath Miller to be a factor in this game,
he will be to busy BLOCKING, Its a shame to not have a talent like that be
able to compete because of your OL.

Lol - the "Gilbert Roll" could be our main weapon in this game.

Pretty sure that what Tuck is saying reflects a large assumption by the rest of the league that we get a lot of calls on our side. Isn't perspective a great thing? But in this case, he's clearly trying to place focus on what has until the last two games been a big weakness for us.

I think a lot of coordinators will not necessarily call a vanilla playbook most games, but they don't show their whole hand until a big game, where they need a little something extra (think Patriots game last season).

I've been extremely happy with Haley thus far but wonder if this will be the game that we see him pull out all the stops to be his statement game.

I think we are going to see a lot of no huddle to keep the giants from rotating their men

I swear one of the giants d-lineman every week have something to say. Its like they take turns running their mouths about something. There is holding every play no matter the situation. How many times have we watched James Harrison and Woodley being held when they turn the corner to rush the QB? Its part of the game, and the only time its acceptable to say someone got away with murder is when you're talking about the ravens and #52....(Sorry had to say it, i just utterly despise ray lewis). But really Tuck and the rest of the g-men need to just be quiet during a week where there is much more to be worried about than football and the nfl.

As far as I know, only Ray Lewis gets away with murder...

Tuck is just trying to bait the refs. As long as the refs are watching the Giant's O-line across from Harrison, too, then the calls should even out
