Its obvious that Ben is done and needs to retire for real. But it isnt solely on him. It's all around bad. Bad QB play, worst OL the steelers have put on the field in decades, and play calling that borders on mental retardation. 4th and 4 yards, 4th and 5 yards and they go to the flat with 3 defenders and no blockers and have WRs running 1 yard routes. What in the ever loving f#$k is wrong with this coaching staff?

They're not going to bench Ben. They should but Art won't allow it. Art wants his money's worth.

If I was Ben, I would go for one more win, then hand the ball to Mason and wish him well. That would show a lot of class.

Well the way I look at this team and franchise is the Rooney’s built and they can tear it down.

It's sad, really. I'm not a jersey guy, but one of the few I have is a #7. Was thrilled when the drafted him, been one of his biggest fans, but it's clearly over.

He just can't make the throws anymore, and can't protect himself in the pocket.

Bens a legend. It’s okay to want him gone though. His time is up and he really should have been mentoring Rudolph but oh well. He needs to step aside.

I'll admit to being one of them. I thought he still gave us the best chance to win. That game was my last straw. Congrats on all you've done for us Ben and your records..now go away.

Not Ben’s style. He’s more a throw Mason under the bus guy.

The only hope for a Ben benching is a "fake injury." His ego is too large to just go out or else he would have just retired already.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Ben was mad they drafted Mason when they did. It was his own doing with statements like: "Maybe I just don't have it anymore!" or, "I'll think about retiring this off season." Then when Mason was drafted, he made statements like: "I'll just point to the playbook if he asks questions." I wonder what that relationship is like. Even through training camp all he did was talk about Haskins' arm strength. When is the last time you heard him say something positive about Mason. Heck, even when Duck was on the roster, he said he was fun to watch." He has a chip on his shoulder over Mason that he won't let go.

We need to see what Haskins and Mason can do. Time to start planning for the future because Ben isn't gonna get better as the hits start adding up.

The sad part is that he actually still may be the best chance of winning.

The QB situation is just awful.

Why the one more win? Is it another milestone?

Here is the thing, if they would put in Mason or Haskins let Ben be there personal coach. Can you imagine the knowledge those two guys would get. Hell Ben knows more than the QB coach. I think if that would happen those two guys would be in a new world of success.

Class and Ben have never appeared in the same sentence. No reason to think he shows class now.

I agree with you. I'm sure it is a lot to ask of Ben. However, I think his legacy would be even greater if these two are singing his praises after he left. Now as it stands, if it is Mason you are going to hear how they didn't really have that great a relationship. Only caveat, Mason is very religious and I don't think he would say a word.

I'm not sure why are marked your post hilarious, but I do agree. He doesn't have a reputation for being a class act.

I don't think we have to wait for a fake injury, there is no way Ben can play 17 games under this kind of pressure.

No worries. Like I said in another thread, a losing season brings out the frustration in us all. Especially with a storied franchise like the Steelers. Best to you and Glenn! GO STEELERS!!!
