The major critique on pouncey was his size, too small!!! Problem was while he was too small his heart was three times too Big!

He was A Smart OL Center who was a warrior!!!

Its not the size of the dog in the fight BUT the Size of the Fight in the Dog!!!

Green will be ok, maybe even a probowler some day, but he isn’t an NFL caliber Center right now.

I’ve rewatched it game also. At times Green looks totally lost, totally out of the play then looking around like, “ hey, where you guys going ?” And is why I posted a thread we need a center……

…….. Honestly I should have posted we need an OL!!!! We also need a OL Coach !!!

One play, DLineman was nose to nose with Dotson, Dotson pulled to the right at the snap and the DLineman was in the backfield in .5 sec!!! Moore and Green both tried to stop him but he was faster than either of them. It became a total jailbreak!!!

At this point just play them until the wheels are off!!! Forget about a SB and let them Grow and learn for next year!!!!

I'm not ready to throw Green under the bus, but I think he needs more time under his belt before being the starter.

    Bull****.

    Pouncey was 6-4, 305
    Green is 6-4, 315

Since people seem to continue to make this stupid "he's too small" argument without actually researching anything here is a list of every starting center, team, height, and weight in the NFL this year.

    Rodney Hudson, Cardinals: 6-2, 300
    Corey Linsley, Chargers: 6-3, 301
    Frank Ragnow, Lions: 6-5, 308
    JC Tretter, Browns: 6-4, 307
    Jason Kelce, Eagles: 6-3, 295
    Brandon Linder, Jaguars: 6-6, 315
    Ben Jones, Titans: 6-3, 308
    Erik McCoy, Saints: 6-4, 314
    Ryan Kelly, Colts: 6-4, 309
    Chase Roullier, Washington: 6-4, 310
    Ryan Jensen, Buccaneers: 6-4, 319
    David Andrews, Patriots: 6-3, 300
    Alex Mack, 49ers: 6-4, 311
    Matt Paradis, Panthers: 6-3, 300
    Mitch Morse, Bills: 6-6, 305
    Creed Humphrey, Chiefs: 6-5, 320
    Trey Hopkins, Bengals: 6-3, 316
    Bradley Bozeman, Ravens: 6-5, 317
    Austin Corbett, Rams: 6-4, 306
    Nick Gates, Giants: 6-5, 307
    Ethan Pocic, Seahawks: 6-6, 320
    Connor McGovern, Jets: 6-4, 306
    Kendrick Green, Steelers: 6-4, 315
    Tyler Biadasz, Cowboys: 6-3, 319
    Justin Britt, Texans: 6-6, 315
    Matt Skura, Giants: 6-3, 313
    Garrett Bradbury, Vikings: 6-3, 306
    Sam Mustipher, Bears: 6-3, 306
    Matt Hennessy, Falcons: 6-4, 295
    Josh Myers, Packers: 6-5, 312
    Lloyd Cushenberry, Broncos: 6-4, 315
    Andre James, Raiders: 6-4, 299

You want to say he isn't a good center, fine...nothing to do with his size though.

By the way, JC Hassenauer is 6-2, 295

Also, I know they were different eras but

    Mike Webster: 6-1, 255
    Jeff Hartings: 6-3, 299
    Ray Mansfield: 6-3, 250
    Dermontti Dawson: 6-2, 288

Man what I wouldn't give for a Dawson and Faneca at this point though...or even a Max Starks!

In hindsight should they have picked Creed Humphrey instead of Pat Friermuth in the second round? Humphrey was touted as a plug and play Center and by all accounts has been great for KC while Green was always going to be a project

I like Pat Friermuth and I hope he is going to be a great Steeler but this OLine was a much bigger need IMO
