he’s not weak for having to cater to Ben!! That’s a dumb statement! Every single coach and player and everyone else below the owner caters to every franchise QB in this league! You don’t and you can pack your bags no matter what!

How’s the rest of your first day watching the NFL going so far?

58 passing attempts, this is not going to work in any league. Really needs to get with ol coach and figure out going forward what may work.

I think Canada has 3 years even if there is not much change in the offense, this year with Ben and 2 years with new QB. The few things that are concerning to me, I don't really see much change in the play calling from last year outside a few more pre-snap motions that don't really confuse the defense. We still throw short passes, on run plays our RB runs into the back of our offensive line as the defense stacks the box. There haven't been creative ways to use the personal we have knowing their limitations. I believe I heard this during the broadcast that someone asked Ben why they don't go to the hurry up more and he said we only have about 20 plays we can run in the hurry up compared to other years when they had 70 to 80. If that is true that is concerning as Canada only looks at the hurry up as a last 2 minute item to get a score not beyond to change game outcomes in all quarters of the game. I will say I did find it funny that when Tomlin was asked in the post game pressure on why the dump down to Najee on 4th down, he mentioned we had fired all out bullets at that point with our play selections (at 3:40 minute in the video below). Hmm that is interesting.

Again everyone, Canada is not the problem. Today's play calling was definitely off for sure but assuredly a far cry from the issue. Canada, and the Steelers for that matter, need a QB.

I am will @Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace in starting Mason at this point should this continue in Green Bay. No later than at the end of the 1st Quarter.

Just our qb is the problem? :roflmao:

We're 0-4 our last 4 divisional games. 2 against a horrible Bengals team.

Ben is done and clearly it was a horrible decision as many of us said for him to comeback and delay the rebuild. However the biggest problem even bigger than Ben is this OLine. It’s the worst in football or as bad as the worst.

Mahommes and the chiefs are 1-2. Granted, they, and they're young OL will right the ship at some point - at least much more than we will, but bad OL play kills.

It doesn't help that teams are targetting Najeh and daring us to throw those 3 yarders to beat them. But look at Najeh's carries all three weeks. You can count the number of times he makes it to the line without being touched on one hand - and you won't use all your fingers. Can't run block, can't pass block. No qb is going to solve that issue.

And don't forget, we lost 40% of those guys today and had to use their BACKUPS - i.e. guys not as good as they were.

Wait ...are You saying Mahomes needs an O line, and Defenses. $H!T ...They should do what everyone wants Here. It's clearly always the Qbs fault. So bench Mahomes. I mean did You see His pick. What was he thinking. LoL
Should I put this in Green, or will everyone know it for what it is???

I still have not heard Canada's explanation as why Ben is claiming that he can't run the hurry-up offense this year because Canada's new offense only has about 10-15 plays when running it.

Ben claims last year Randy's offense had hundreds of play when running the hurry-up and this year he can't run it because of Canada.

I thought for sure a reporter would ask Canada to explain Ben's comments.

    Canada's play calling is unsatisfactory.

I choose not to believe Ben. This is the same guy that said there was no QB sneak in the playbook, even Tomlin rolled his eyes at that one.

now what I will believe is that there are only 10-15 plays that Ben has the physical ability to run at age 39.

while I don’t know if Canada will be a good nfl OC or not, it’s hard to evaluate his play calling when the Oline and qb have such a limited ability to execute most of what he wants to do.

I too am disappointed, I know there are a lot of factors involved with poor
OL play, but he must/should have thought about ways to reenergize this offense with what he has to work with.
That too me is important. I find that MT teams are ill prepared for all situations. Canada really needs to step up his game.

Maybe they could have Ben hand off to Najee into 10-man fronts that the D uses because they know Ben can't throw downfield anymore with any accuracy.

Ben is the boat anchor around the offense's neck.
