Can you think of a "big name guy" that might be available and that wouldn't come in and totally disrupt the team's chemistry? That's what I thought. Seriously, if the Steelers were going to make a trade it wouldn't be to land a "big name guy", it would be to dump a player for a draft choice that they feel may be expendable for whatever reason and that they may have a hard time re-signing in the off-season. The only player that comes to mind that COULD meet that criteria is Mike Wallace and I really don't see the Steelers making that move.

Hypothetically, would anyone trade Wallace for Bowe straight-up, salary being a non-issue? I think I would. He'd bring a physicality to our WR corps that we really don't have.

As for realistic trades, I don't think we make any moves before the deadline. Up too tight against the cap.

 

Wallace for Mark Ingram. Ingram being wasted on Saints. Wallace deep threat for Brees. Win Win
