It is Ben he can't run the new offense the way it is designed..As I stated in another thread Teams are not respecting the deep ball they are run blitzing and just collecting the QB..Teams are forcing Ben to out smart them and he is failing badly..He states he must play better the problem is I don't think he can...

All good points. Did any of the Raiders WR's quit on a route which lead to an easy INT? Our WR's wouldn't do that either, But Ben likes to just throw hail mary's to their safeties after nearly getting his head taken off.

Notice when Ben had time to step into his throws not all of them were bad... he made two absolutely perfect deep throws to Claypool and Johnson. I recall one or two others that were impressive throws that just didn't get caught.

He almost made the first one but lost it on the way down. The defender has his arm on Clay's chest which caused the ball to pop out. If Ben could throw better balls then our guys wouldn't have to come up with highlight type of catches.

Carr was keeping it simple. Steelers looked like a high-school practice.

Ben is largely the problem. He loves the deep ball, but can’t connect. He either puts us in 2nd and long or kills drives with them. His absolute refusal to utilize the middle of the field is mind boggling to me. Edit as long as Ben is starting our offense will look almost identical to what we are used to seeing. We won’t see Canada’s offense until ben is either benched or retires.

Apparently Ben has publicly called out Matt Canada as the problem so sounds like that transition is going well.

It's not the lack of throws down the field. It is the lack of any deep throws down the middle of the field. That makes it a hell of a lot easier to defend the ones near the sidelines.

Throwing 50 and throwing it 50 accurately are two things.

Bubby Brister could throw it 50.

the more i think, watch, and read a day later....I'm starting to think Ben is just washed up. I still think he's a better option than anyone on the team, which is not good lol. Gonna HAVE to get a QB round one in the draft. the Answer is not on the roster. Just let Ben ride it out as long as he can the rest of the season, no other option on the team is gonna take them any further. Draft high next year for a QB. Also, i think the Raiders are pretty dang good. Steelers are gonna lose to good teams and bad teams, especially with injuries and a dog crap offense

    Source?

All I can find is one comment where he deferred a question by accurately saying “Ask Coach Canada”. That is certainly not a public call out.

Young Oline, rookie center, protections are messed up.
Add rookie TE and rookie RB to that, and it's not good.
    It's a rebuild on offense.

Great receivers don't need perfect passes to catch the ball, he's not going to catch all of them but Claypool drops too many passes.

All the OL that was worthy of going in round 1 were gone by the time the Steelers drafted at #24.

Funny when I suggested Ben made our Wrs everyone laughs, or disagreed...Yet when they are not doing Well its Ben's fault.
Apparently He can't make weapons, but He can destroy Weapons.

The media asked Ben something about the personnel being used on the field, he said you have to ask Canada about that, much ado about nothing.

I hate those plays, just try and get the first down when it's third and short.

He had like three deep balls he didn't catch, he was doing the same thing last season too.

I hope you don't mean this one. Great DB play on a bad ball.

And what's Claypool's excuse for his other drops, he's had plenty of passes in his hands and dropped them.
