Both of them had a good game against the Bills, it would be nice if we got this type of play in the playoffs .

You can add a bunch more players to the list. I get what you are saying though. They need to save some of that energy. Long season.

I can't find the exact quote but Cam mentioned not going playing every single snap, or as often as he once did, to save himself and keep rolling when the game is on the line and that's exactly what the Steelers should be doing. With the depth in their defensive rotation, keeping him fresh is massively important. I mean this seriously when I say the defense has a chance to be elite and one of the decade's best.

Tomlin coached a good game and had his team prepared. Would be nice...

I have that feeling too. Barring major injuries I think it's the kind of defense that gives us a shot at making a lot of noise as long as we develop a decent run game which would be an enormous plus for Ben's game.

Completely agree. Ben does have to improve, don't get me wrong, but he also has very little time to throw and the running game is nearly zero. Improve a bit and we'll take off.

Or the highest paid players on defense can make some plays, your star players need to play like stars in the playoffs, 1 or 2 tackles a game from these guys isn't good enough.

I know this topic was for Cam and TJ ... and deservingly so .. but, if they don't extend Ingram's contract now ... then, they will be losing a great talent with alot left in the tank

Sign Ingram as soon as possible. He is a towering standout beast of a player. He is going to destroy and wreak havoc on all opposing teams He is big and strong and fast .Watch him.He is way better than Highsmith. But probably on the high level with Cam and TJ

This, though. Last two playoff games have been "we are just better than them, so we're gonna show up and roll 'em" as the game plan... Hasn't worked. We have been massively out-coached last two playoff games against two easily inferior teams at home. I know the players are responsible for themselves to a degree, but man, it has been an embarrassment how unprepared we have looked in postseason football recently.

Injuries had alot to do with ... how we ended the season and playoffs. Especially on the defensive side of the ball

Both times they were completely flat, almost looked scared, as if they were thinking "Holy crap, those guys look fired up and ready. What did we do all week?"

Don't Be in a Rush I think. We have 2 see how long He stays healthy. That been His problem. Otherwise He wouldn't Be here. IMO

I agree. I have been the biggest defender of how the team finished last year. Everyone calls it a “collapse”, but the reality is that we got decimated by injuries and just got outplayed by healthier teams.

But in the playoff game, did that look like a team that was prepared and ready to play? You can show up prepared and still lose because the other team is better (or played better). I understand getting out played. That happens. They came out flat. Dead. Asleep. Like they expected the opposition to just roll over for them. This is exactly how they played against Jacksonville a few years ago as well. That doesn’t have one thing to do with injuries or anything else other than not being prepared to play.

You do know the Steelers don't do contract extensions during the season, if they want to re-sign him in the offseason they will have the cap space to do so.

Yeah because the franchise QB Ben and his 6 turnovers in those 2 playoff losses, had nothing to do with the way they started those games .

Top rated defense allowed to make stops and force TOs, All Pro center allowed to not snap it over QBs head. Not just Ben, they're all out of sorts.

Tomlin gets credit when the team is jacked, like on opening day this year, he also gets blame when they're completely flat.

You can't have it both ways.
