Nobody in both the local or national media picked them to win this game today. Some had the Bills in a blowout winning this game and it being a no contest. The Steelers if anything whether they win or lost this game proved and showed they are gonna be a good team and win a bunch of games this year. The offense needs some work but this team is good and will be a playoff team.

If this team can stay healthy and focused they may end up better than any of us thought.

I predicted 10 wins because of the tough schedule, but I think they get in the playoffs still.

I have a bad feeling Browns are gonna be gushed over this week.

If the offense can just be halfway competent with that defense, they will win a lot of games.

I like to read what the opposing newspaper's beat writers have to say after Steelers games. So, I have to question whether Jason Wolf of The Buffalo News, author of this quote, watched the same game as the rest of us:

"The Bills open the season with a home loss against what is traditionally one of the top teams in the AFC, but the result had more to do with the Bills’ shortcomings on offense and questionable play-calling than anything Pittsburgh did."

Really, Jason? No credit to the Steelers defense or ST's? No credit to Diontae Johnson on a brilliant TD catch? No credit to the Bills opponent for a great game plan, execution, relative mistake-free play? Homer, thy name is Jason Wolf.

I didn't think D would be this good. Imagine if we could get Tuitt back. I had almost forgot about Bush. I think he made a big difference out there.

I love it and always relish the underdog role. Seems like this team has always exceled when the odds are stacked against them. What a statement game!

Great result. All excited for the football coming back and now I'm bouncing (that might be the beer though)
Fantastic start. Keep Ben fit and we're in for a good season.

    Cmon the Steelers!

Just a few years ago we were saying "if the defense can be just halfway competent with that offense.....".
There was fear on this board that we'd be a horrible team once Ben retired but the worst Steeler Defense of the last 50 years was totally rebuilt in just a few years. Colbert done an amazing job.

Yeah. At least give credit to our defensive game plan. It seemed spot on. He is blind if he thinks it was all due to questionable offensive play calling by Bills only (except the dumb 4th down play). Mostly, they could not execute their plays because our defense had a great day.

I would have to read the rest of it to see how he backed that up, but I can understand that approach. When the team you follow loses a game that they were expected to win, the tendency is to focus on their shortcomings rather than the opponent.

Listened to one of the PFF recap shows this AM, they basically avoided the game except to say that the loss was more about Allen playing badly and Buffalo not showing up than anything Pittsburgh did. No credit to Pittsburgh for a really good defensive performance that stopped them on fourth down several times etc.

I did say on here during the week that I thought Buffalo might be a bit overrated at this stage and they’ll find it hard to repeat last season where Allen and Diggs played at MVP level. It’s still early days but I don’t think they are this juggernaut that the mainstream media were making them in to. They’ll probably win their Division but I don’t think they are a Super Bowl team

And let's face it, Allen missed a lot of open guys. He was due to regress to the mean, and I have a feeling Bills fans will be in denial over it all season.

I notice that some of the people it shut up are TSF regulars. The doom and gloom bunch hasn't shown their heads since halftime.

If this defense can continue that kick @ss performance this team will dominate.

The offense needs some work but they also showed yesterday they can get it done when called upon.

Special teams scored so the early bumps are moot.

On to the Faders at Home!
