Highsmith has a groin injury

Ingram gonna get a lot of work in week 1.

Groin injuries just don't magically go away in just a few short days.

Might as well start prepping tonight for Sundays game.

 

Green with a thumb was a limited participant, Alualu missed practice with an elbow.

Can't remember being less optimistic for a season opener. Expecting the worst, will be ecstatic if they win.

Right now, it feels like I'll be channel surfing by early 3rd quarter.

 

We are doomed.

 

Tuitt definitely out. Highsmith, Watt and Alualu all questionable participants or at least won’t be full participants. Yeah this is looking like an uphill battle.

There are always a few weird results week one however. I wouldn’t write the steelers off by any means.

 

This is not good news for Highsmith who I feel was going to have a breakout season. Groin injuries will take some time to heal and if you injure it again it could be mesh surgery time. Can't see him playing at this point on Sunday.

Jamir Jones will be the be the guy who spells both and can bring up from the PS Derrek Tuszka. Also Schobert was an OLB at Wisconsin if something happens as a safety net if needed.

 

Could be worse, this is an insane run of bad luck

 

No Tuitt, maybe a limited Watt, maybe no Highsmith.

Ben and the offense going to have to score a lot in this one perhaps.

I slammed the table for Tamir Jones he may get some good snaps to play.

 

Jones will definitely see some snaps. Really hope they’re just being cautious with Highsmith, but it doesn’t seem likely he’ll play Sunday… Certainly not at 100%. You don’t just shake off groin injuries.

At least Alualu and Green were full participants today.

he probably saw TJ's contract and blew out a groin thinking about what could be.

Sit him and let it heal. Next man up. I'm not worried about the front 7. If the OL and CBs hold, there are good times ahead.

 

Not really, but they're already banged up and haven't played a down, and that was always going to be a tough game. Groin injuries are easy to aggravate, too. I'd be inclined to deactivate him.

 

Any updates? Groin, That's scary ...Was so pumped for our OLB depth, Said Highsmith has looked OUTSTANDING...Now if he's out, TJon a pitch count...That went from great depth to none...

Against a really good QB and team...This could be very scary!

 

i guess that jamir jones and those so called scrubs becomes a lot more valuable then you thought.

 

Let's hope he works out better than UG3, Tuzar Skipper, and Ola Adeniyi, the last three camp darlings at LB.

 

yea the steelers drafted UG3. i guess you do know better then they do. did skipper see an nfl field? isn't adeniyi still in the league? the titans thought he is still good enough. not every player will be a starter. you keep trying though. i'll keep showing you the errors of your ways.

 

Good to see Highsmith was a full participant.

 

I'm a little surprised and hoping it was a far more minor problem than it appeared.
