This thread makes me miss Wilson’s ribs, joint tucked back on the north side. That was real bbq, none of that sweet bs.

They(my folks) don't buy cocktail sauce, and when at home I don't even own ketchup. I like Heinz 57 mixed with Louisiana Hot sauce. LoL.

    Siracha > ketchup

Although the new natural ingredients (no syrup) ketchup is edible.

Believe me, you come over here for burgers, the last thing I’d put on it is ketchup! I agree with Dirty Harry, “ nobody, and I mean nobody, puts ketchup on a hot dog!”

I’ve seen this advertised for Pittsburgh and thought it would be a cool experience to go to. Ribfest used to come to St. Louis every memorial day weekend. I’ve been to that one many times. Always good food the great music.

Somehow, this thread has made me more hungry than any of macdaddyo's gameday what's cooking threads.

Did dirty Harry really say that?? I'm pretty good at trivial bull$hit from things that don't matter...as I was told growing up, and for some reason I don't remember that line.

Thank you. I had to look it up 'cause I didn't remember which movie it was from. I didn't get the quote quite right but, the sentiment is the same!

There's also an obscure reference to "ketchup" in Pulp Fiction although different spelling and connotation - a homonym I think. Anyone...Bueller...anyone?
