He is injured and will probably end up back on the PS and re-signed at some stage

As an FYI, today's other cuts were LB Calvin Bundage, OL Aviante Collins, WR Tyler Simmons, and RB Pete Guirriero.

It seems that young players that aren’t vested need to clear waivers before being placed on IR. Thats almost certainly what is happening with Brooks

Hope to see Bundage and Denmark on the PS

I have liked Bundage better than Spillane this year.

I'll be shocked if it's not Sutton, with Pierre outside in nickel. Get your best five on the field.

That sucks for Brooks, he lost 20 pounds to get ready for slot CB role, next man up. Hopefully they can find another CB after roster cuts happen.

Years ago I was in an Applebees and two huge guys were in booth behind me. They were just cut from the Eagles after week 3 of pre season. They were talking about contacting other teams to see if they could try out.

Question: Are these guys who get cut scouted by other teams and given chances even though they were already dismissed from their original team that late in the pre season????????????????????

I would guess these guys were offensive linemen.

Teams do watch the waiver wires. If there is someone out there they liked before the draft or scouted when they were on a team if a vet, then a GM will recognize the name. Then it would be a matter of need.

Absolutely...There may have been guys they really liked in the Draft, Who they think can fit their scheme better, Maybe they see something / a certain fault...That they think they can fix, being blocked at a certain position, better than what they have...

So many variables...But yes absolutely, I would imagine they leave NO stone unturned

I think the Steelers contacted Haden before he left the Browns building. :hehehe:
Had their eye on him for years & years.
