Keep in mind we have a pretty loaded WR corp. Sanders, Wallace, Brown, Cotchery, Miller and you can throw in the RB's and the 2nd string TE. Ben has a lot of options and he is using a lot of them. I like the fact that we don't have that one go to guy. All of our guys can hurt you. Look how we took Green out of the game in Cincy. Imagine what would happen if they tried doing that to Brown.

As we get closer to the redzone Ben really looks for Miller. And rightfully so. I think there is always room for improvement but Brown is probably top 10 in terms of most important Steelers.

I just hope he continues to develop and play with that chip on his shoulder. If that is the case the sky could be the only limit for him. :towel:

He is the most dynamic Steeler we have had in here since Troy was a rookie,
People he is uncoverable. His footwork is fantastic. And you wonder why Ike was trying
to beat him up in training camp? Because he was tired of getting beat like a rented mule.
The Steelers signed the right guy.

I've been impressed with Brown since he first started playing in Pit, and that sentiment is only growing.

It really is weird that he doesn't score more TDs. He showed his big play ability in preseason with several long TDs.

I chalk it up to coincidence. He keeps producing, he'll find the endzone.

i "blame" it on Haley's new offense which is a lot less about tossing it down the ball but moving it down the field in a controlled manner. So less bombs (which usually go to Wallace anyways) and more short passes inside the 20 (which should - and thanks to Todd do - go to Heath)

Unless I misread the stats on nfl.com, Wallace has 4TDs (I think I recall at least two long passes for those) and I bet Heath's 5TDs were all in the redzone.

I bet that a lot of AB's catches were on 3rd downs, wish I could find stats on that.

he is so quick out of his breaks that db's cant stay with him. he runs beautiful routes and has great feet. his work ethic is very good and he seems to love the game. you put all those things together and then you know why the Steelers signed him to a big contract.

if all things where equal. meaning Wallace never held out. i wonder who the Steelers would have signed long term first. i think it would have been Brown either way.

I'll assume there is a bit of sarcasm in your Haley comment while trying to make a point. I agree with the point about less bombs, but lets not forget this is his 3rd year and he only has 3 total touchdowns. He seems to be the 3rd down king. Just so surprising that he is able to move the chains but not able to cross the goal line.

He should have thrown for one, but ehh.
