Just saw a clip on Twitter that Tomlin wants to see Najeh Harris vs Devon Bush in that traditional contest

I think Harris will win but its will be a fight.

    Thoughts?

And some people want to eliminate trading camp and preseason. They don’t see what is gained.

    Thoughts.....I think I want 2 see it.
    I've really gotten 2 were It’s hard 4 me 2 root for Bush .
I hate 2 say it, because I'm a Steelers fan, but every time I turn around I hear something I don't like.
Now I've admitted if I was that age , and given that much money I'd probably have been in trouble, or dead, but You don't have 2 be an A$$hole .
I hope he makes me change my mind.
I firmly believe in 2nd chances, and I believe a person can change.

You know I am glad you made the statement you did.

Many of my older friends and family members look at Rock stars, Sports Stars, Actors, Rap stars, ....whatever is your cup of tea and they see these people handle the spot light and celebrity thing so poorly and say so and so pi$$ed fame and fortune all away and I would never do this that and would be a JJ Watt or Charlie Batch and live my life serving and doing good for the less fortunate during and after my active time as an athlete, etc

Losing a father young who was the bread winner made me mature a lot quicker while supporting my sister and mother but I no doubt could have seen myself heading down the path of destruction and life on the edge. I had no time to eff off and ended up looking up to teachers or a General Manager at work who groomed me and I needed that and embraced it...Accidental Tomlinism there ...lol

Dont know if you ever watched "The Dirt" but I do know people who luckily lived through that 80s 90s Metal lifestyle like that. That was no make believe.

The whole point as I watch TMZ and see a Jamarcus Russel, or a Johnny Manziel who already came from money and I now argue that its more complex why these guys failed in their profession and the publics eye. Not saying that they shouldn't be held accountable and own their actions that contributed to failure but I simply really have not walked in their footstep to judge.

So now there is Devon who by these accounts is acting in a sense that is not the Steeler way..... and Harris who is writing a Hallmark story script based on his life story.....and I naturally want to see Harris truck him over. lol

Maybe Bush is playing a lot of people out there. I dont know the guy obviously but I do not have a lot of Steelers that I actually have a strong dislike for since 1978.

Getting back to football...etc...I just think Harris will dominate the competition of backers vs runners. I just cant see Bush being that strong to square him up and stall him or running Harris over.

I don't know anybody that wants to eliminate training camp, I just don't really care where they have it.

I am trying to remember who was the undersized RB who held his own and stood up the rushing backer or DB that one year that the clip was shown.

I'm going to put this situation in this way, this isn't an iron sharpening iron situation Ala Brown vs Burns. It's tailor made for a fight. Bush wants to prove he is back, Harris wants to stay humble but prove that just because he is a rookie that doesn't mean he can't bring it.

Coincidentally I also think there will be fights between DL and OL more so than in years past. Klemm wants that nasty streak in his guys and sometimes you can't turn that off and Cam and Tuitt are vets who won't take kindly to guys going 120% in a meaningless camp practice.

Going to be interesting for certain. The hope is that Bush has made a fully recovery from his ACL Tear but I seriously doubt we are going to see the same explosive D. Bush Jr. until later in the year. ACL Injuries take considerable amounts of time to recover from; therapy included. Overall, I do expect Najee to have Bush Jr's number early on.

Absolutely need training camp to prepare. Without preseason there would be no competition for positions, it would have to be a work in progress during real games which is outlandish. My biggest problem with it is the injury demon which has ruined many a seasons.

    As predicted Saturday's practice.

Rookie fourth-rounder Dan Moore got extensive time at left tackle again Saturday while Chuks Okorafor nursed a minor injury.

Moore made his presence felt when he mixed it up with defensive linemen Isaiah Buggs and Cameron Heyward on consecutive snaps. In each instance, Moore had to be separated and pushed away from the scrum by teammates.

Tomlin didn’t sound happy with the rookie’s conduct, although he didn’t discuss the specifics of either incident.

“I’m not interested in coaching that,” he said. “We work our tails off to compete but keep it professional. We acknowledge sometimes tempers are going to flare, and that is going to happen, but we are not wasting one iota of our time coaching it. We’re putting together a rough-and-tumble football group, not an MMA squad, so we’re not coaching it.”

You can't want aggression and think you can flip the switch and have teddy bears instead of T-Rex
