Don't know if you guys noticed but, did you see Decastro really going over things, with Kugler and the other lineman, I know he is hurt but was really glad to see him trying to learn and do anything he could to help, at least he wasn't rocking the sweat pants chewing gum or eating sunflower seeds like some guys do, but he is a rookie so maybe I'm making a big deal out of nothing, but good to see none the less.

As far as I'm concerned, if you're earning a paycheck, you should be doing whatever you can to get better when you're off injured. Troy typically tries to help the defense and I've seen others on the sidelines doing their part. Good to see Decastro on the sidelines trying to make sure he hits the ground running when he comes off the IR.

I want to know what happens when DeCastro comes back in a few weeks?

Do we sit Ramon Foster who has played really well? or do we keep DeCastro on the bench until next year?

This is of course barring any injuries to Foster and Colon

I think you just hit it with the last sentence. Surely one of those guys are injured come time for Decastro.

I think it's a good problem to have might give Decastro additional time to heal. But, when it's time Ramon Foster comes out Decastro in. But, with as often as our linemen get hurt, we will probaly need Decastro by then.

The thing I noticed about DeCastro is that he has a beard now. I hope Kiesel is wearing off on him and he will become a true Steeler. I also hope he has a restraining order against Marcus Gilbert as well. I feel that if Gilbert remains at least 500ft away this should deter him rolling up on his knee again.

Agreed here. The O-line gets an automatic upgrade the minute Decastro becomes part of the 53 man roster. If he's ready to start - let him start. If not - the O-line is still better with him waiting in the wings.

Yep...I kept saying that last night...and how awesome it was he was right there in the thick of things. I think I even saw Spence with Troy (and some others) a bit...which is good also.

I cried a little when Decastro went down with the knee injury and I really want to watch this guy play football, but put me in the camp that says shut this guy down for the year. Get him healthy and ready to start next year.

Hold him out until he is absolutely needed.

Yup. And in the meantime he should get plenty strong with all the lifting he can be doing, minus the obvious stuff.
