Special Teams

I know it was a good win, but I wanted to get everyone's opinion of our special teams situation...

Tomlin firing our special teams coach 2 weeks before the season seemed really baffling. But look has what has happened since then... We have blocked punts, our kick coverage has been good, but pretty average. Tate was gashing us in the 1st half in the Cincy game. Then the most frustrating thing is all the holding calls on Brown's amazing returns all year long, which backs the offense up even more towards their own endzone.

I feel like there is some definite room from improvement here...they definitely got to sort out the penalties...

 

Our ST are really bad this year (not Suishan, Butler, Brown, Rainey). Suishan kicks it 5-8 yards deep and they come out right up the middle and get to the 38????????? Consistently too! Then we have great returns by both Rainey and Brown and there is always a holding call!!!!!!

 

The ST penalties are frustrating to no end.

 

if they don't fix things ASAP, it will cost us a game

 

What was it, four holding calls in a row on our return team??? Ridiculous.

They would be better off just taking touchbacks instead of running the ball out of the end zone.

they had atleast 4 returns that were at or past the 50 called back. the score could have been much better if they can be a lot more disciplined.
