I still see nothing that says he's a special talent. He's got some good tools no doubt, but so do a lot of other RB's in the league. He's definitely above average, but he's not a top 3 talent like many believe he is. He's fortunate that he landed in that system. They have really used him well over the years.

You could say that about every team, and more-so for most teams.
If it were common sense, then the players drafted would line up perfectly with their production in the NFL.
If it were not hindsight, then Lambert would have been a very high 1st rounder, Terrell Davis would not have gone in the 5th round, where would Marino have been taken, Montana, Donnie Shell?
    You're better than this.

You have that backwards...hindsight is what makes lambert a first round pick.......foresight is saying mount cody is more talented than worilds.......hindsight would be going worilds was the better pick..but that has not happened yet.

Maybe I worded it a bit wrong, but, even with our 'iffy' selections lately, we do better than most.( ya, everybody has to whine about something ;) )
With drafts, there is, good, ...fair, ...bad.
No one has ever got it perfect, though '74 was durn close. The closest perfect draft since the draft began.

Agree. And I've said this a bunch, but that goes for a number of backs in the league. Switch them with Mendy and they will struggle here, and he'll thrive there. He's a top back.

    That is classic.

BTW, why does no one mention "good thing we selected 'insert star name' instead of ' hundreds of players who never amounted to anything' "?

I may have to take a few minutes, someday, and start a thread on that.
