Anyways more the happy to talk football and I even admit I'm wrong and will concede the point if it gets reciprocated and even if it doesn't that's why we are here. Just realize that by board standards several of us have been doing this 11+ years and sometimes the repetition of topics forces us to reach for the jokes. Your approach in these matters is somewhat abrasive but like Mr. LLOYD you were not hired for your disposition so the community will adapt. Heck @Formerscribe is not nearly as abrasive as he first was and has been known to make a joke.

I think some don't realize how utterly bad Pouncey was! He was ranked LAST at Center rankings, In one publication I read and, was ranked ALMOST last , the year before that! He was so bad, that if not for his name and reputation ( and Popcorn obviously ) He would have been benched bad!

And Big Al was only probably a hair "better"...These 2 addition by substraction moves only, will make the OL better... Can't see "whoever" replaces them being worse!

 

Ben may have had some influence as well keeping him on the field.

My best guess is they open the season with Okorafor at left tackle and he likely remains the starter. The most likely threat to his position is Moore. I don't think their other options are good enough to push him. Left tackle seems like a more natural fit for Okorafor, so perhaps I'm engaging in some wishful thinking that moving there will be good for him.

Then again, maybe it will be Banner on the left side. I just got the impression that he was the better run blocker and Okorafor was better in pass protection. I'm certainly open to being proven wrong about that.

While Pouncey was not good he was still light years better than Hassenauer.

There was an article showing statistics with Hassenauer in the line up and it was surprising how the O bottomed out.

That being said... would he have sailed the opening snap of the playoff game?
