Bet that was a tough name to grow up with. Hope he was always big!

Traded up for this guy, intriguing.

Apparently they view him as an OLB/edge, which seems nuts but should be fun to track.

The last Wisconsin draft pick didn't turn out too bad.

Welcome to the Steelers Loudmouth. (My instant new nickname for him).;)

No way this kid is an OLB

But...I guess we will see.. is he a back up OLB...or did they trade up for a practice squad DE?

Steelers asked him to bulk up, apparently he's going to be a backup 3-4 DE, and they traded up to get him. Easily the worst pick in the draft with Shaun Wade on the board.

Colbert and Tomlin are day drinking.

OLB talk is hysterical, he’s going to be DL. Dulac is high, seriously off his game lately. Time to retire.

Look at the source. I can be negative sometimes, but man, Maddog is relentless with it.

Draft crushes, makes fans act crazy.

I have them too, I curse and then move on. Maddog carries it around like luggage.

In the grand scheme of things it's a crapshoot. One reason why I think the Steelers pin too much of their hopes on it.

If Loudermilk ends up pushing Buggs off the roster then that would be interesting for certain. Buggs is only being mentioned here as he is likely the one who is in danger of losing his roster spot here. I doubt that Carlos Davis warrants such concerns about his.

Regarding Loudermilk the player, as an Interior Defensive Lineman, there is some good athletic ability there and his motor stays hot as does his desire. Major problem though is he really does not have a pass rush skill set to speak of at the moment. Getting those pass rushing chops is going to be critical for him.

Payton Turner of the New Orleans Saints says "Hold My Beer!"

Alex Leatherwood of the Las Vegas Raiders joined him soon after.

Gregory Rosseau of the Buffalo Bills was severely drunk by that point and could not attend.

Loudermilk might have been a reach but the likes of these three make even the grappling gadgets that the likes of Batman or Inspector Gadget look minuscule in comparison. I do agree though with your premise on Shaun Wade as I also feel that was a missed opportunity. That said, perhaps there was something that the team did not like about him?! Tough to say but I suppose we will have to wait and see.

Whats the point of drafting Wade when Butler puts his guys 20 yards off the line anyway. It'll be 3rd down and 2 ...and our guys are sitting back 15 yards

I like this pick. He fits right in with what they look for in 3-4 DE. Having both him and Wormley, I feel good about the depth.

Do you ever have any intelligent replies to offer? Did you like that pick? Are you happy the Steelers lost two of their best CBs and didn't address it in the offseason?

Can any of you homers think for yourselves or do you just repeat what Dale Lolley writes?
