Honestly yes. I think Rice is more NFL ready than Moses. Maybe Moses has a bit more upside down the road.

I nominated Robert Rochell, CB, Central Arkansas. I wasn't going to, since he is a raw talent, but Ike Taylor came out of Louisiana-Lafayette. Not sure I would vote for him though. The problem I am having is there is not a player that would immediately start, but most third rounders don't their first year anyway. @TuRnDoWnForWaTT you have thrown out several names. It looks like you are leaning towards Monty Rice. Is he your vote? Not much input from the board.

the Steelers reportedly have shown a lot of interest in both OTs James Hudson and Spencer Brown.

I'm going to vote for one of them.

I am either going Rice or Hudson. Still pondering the pick. Hoping to hear some input from others to sway me one way or the other. I am probably leaning toward Rice.

What is your guys take on Divine Deablo, the hybrid safety from Va. Tech? I know we already have one of those from Va. Tech, which some fans don't like. The Steelers have scouted him. While he is more of an Edmunds, he could take some of Hilton's snaps, playing closer to the line of scrimmage. He may be my vote.

My vote is for Dylan Moses, lb, Alabama. A true Mac linebacker who can blitz and cover a tight end. He and Bush at lb (probably next year tbh but he would play this year) would fix a myriad of defensive issues.

I’m leaning Hudson, still need a tackle and he’s a pretty good one, don’t know that there will be anything worth while later if we wait.

Another name to consider is Hunter Long, TE. Has the makings of a good do it all TE. Would have suggested Tremble but he was already taken.

I am now also leaning Hudson. Seems like good value.

I like Monty Rice but I have seen him mocked in the 4th. The Steelers have 2 picks in the round. Rice may be there. Hudson will not.

We can't keep ignoring the te position and by my count, the only one left that's remotely worthwhile is hunter long, so there's my nomination for this rd

I looked at Hunter Long. While his hands may be better than Ebron's his blocking is about the same. I agree with the need though. I voted for Deablo because I don't see the Steelers taking three offensive players in a row and he can help fill Hilton's role.

I cast my vote for Hudson. I think the need is bigger than TE.

John Bates is still out there, big TE that ticks all the boxes. Maybe we could get him later if we keep this going.

You’re probably right, they won’t take three offensive players. I actually think they will go defense in rd 1, then offense in 2 & 3.

Deablo would be a good choice if we take him in the real thing.

You just named some of them. Highsmith only started because of injury (backup) Sutton (backup) we don't know who's playing NT for sure, every CB position but one will be backups from last year.
If you go into this ,well everyone starts as a backup arguements. Well than nobody is a back up, and we shouldn't worry about O-line , QBs, Rbs, and so on.
    Hope I made myself clear.

The 3rd round poll on the Steelers Talk page is going to be the official vote for the pick. If you haven't voted in that poll, please do so if you want your vote counted.

No D drafted in the 1st three rounds.
Hope that doesn't happen in the real draft.
