Loyalty works both ways. How fair was it for a player of be stuck on a team during his best years with no power to make more money? Do you have faith that an owner would properly compensate a player for performance if there was no free agency? I don't.

Kid Rock LIVES in Nashville now. Has for a very long time. Smart people with money leave Detroit ASAP. That place is a dump compared to Nashville Tennessee or almost anywhere else on the planet for that matter.

Yeah but in 1989 he sure sounds like he had a great time by the lake.

I stand corrected. Only been to Memphis once for a Grateful Dead show but I would think that my two favorite past times, music and especially the Steelers would have made a connection there.

Yeah after he has been on an Island for sometime he says "let's get something straight here" long awkward pause then "we have a football team now but they play in Memphis?" Always made me smile because of the long history of Steelers vs Oilers.

My father died 2 years ago from dementia and alzheimer's disease at 87 years young and I also know it's hereditary. I can remember more than you think though.

Thanks for the condolences. I just read it for the first time about 3 minutes ago. No hard feelings though towards Glenn or anyone. I also challenge a trivia night to anyone about all subjects. I have a great memory til I don't want or need to.

    Technique. Technique. Technique.

Early on he used nothing but a speed rush. Because of his athleticism, if he timed the snap right he would win. However, that came few and far between. Even a below average NFL tackle can block you all day if they know what is coming and speed rush was what Bud did 90% of the time.
2 years ago he actually started fighting with his hands and added other moves to his repertoire: Inside move, spin, arm rip (T.J.'s favorite), bull rush. That is what separates ok pass rushers from the best. Bud is an elite athlete however his technique was almost non-existent, so he was a mediocre to average pass rusher. T.J. is a good athlete however he has elite technique, and he was the best edge in the league last year. Bud was finally putting the second part of his game together and that is what got him paid.

Loyalty to the team, the City you play for, the fans that follow and root for you... really has lost a lot... I will take the days of real football when you come over the middle to catch a pass you pay the price... Who do you buy a jersey for today is correct>? You buy a players Jersey this year, next year he is playing for another team... Kind of sucks.. maybe if the fans show their dislike for the "Lack of Team Loyalty , then players and the NFL would understand when it hits their pockets with no Jersey sales. I don't blame players for moving on for money, but seriously how many millions do some of these guys need ? I mean most of us could live a good life for 1 or 2 million... I keep my 75 "Mean Joe Greene" jersey because he was a true Steeler and helped take a team from a power house to a 4 time Super Bowl winner... That's a player I can look up to and respect on and off the field...

Bud Dupree should have been kept, with him on one side and T.J. on the other was a force for defenses to reckon with...
