Well we know Ebron isn't blocking anybody, so maybe they bring Haeg in on short yardage situations to block.

Haeg is mostly a versatile backup player. That is mainly what he was brought in as, and for that it’s a good signing.

But your short yardage blocker thought is good.

Just don’t use him as a tackle eligible.

I think like 3? But he wasn't a starter. The moment he got a chance to start he proved to be a number 1

They likely will use Haeg as tackle eligible. Steelers Depot already has some All 22 tape on how Bruce Arians used him during his time in Tampa Bay.

Yes it was an insult. Are you not understanding he had a better 6 year stretch than anyone who has ever played the game in the 100 year history of the nfl? To act like he was so easily replaced was an insult to what he did.

Wow, do you bow to an AB poster before going to bed? Seriously, listen to yourself, it’s really weird.

You’re making it something that it’s not, he was saying I can be the teams #1.

You do realize this team is going to have a #1 again, right? Will they all be an insult to AB’s “greatness” as well?

    Oh ffs

He was a 6th rd pick for a reason, because his game needed to be polished. He didn’t get more snaps sooner because he wasn’t good enough yet.

No. And AB himmself thought it was a big deal as well. Its why he went at juju the way he did. And no of course they will have another number 1 I think Claypool can be that guy but the situations are entirely different. It was how juju shaded AB and how everyone just dismissed because he acted out. That shouldn't usurp production on the field but i get some people do that but it's not what's most important. Look at the situation deshaun Watson is in and you have teams STILL interested in trading for him as we speak.

Not necessarily. Ab coming out of college wasn't as highly touted. He went to a smaller school. Where you got drafted doesn't mean anything about necessarily how polished you are. Look at dak Prescott. He was a 4th round pick and he's better than and performed better in his rookie year than the number 1 overall pick. That doesn't mean AB coming out of college wasn't good enough to be a number 1. He didnt even start and they gave him that extension because they saw what he was. He also had to play behind other good receivers when he came in.

You’re saying 6th rd picks are the same as 1st rd picks? AB was a 6th rd pick because his tape didn’t warrant any better. Plenty of players from small schools have been drafted higher than the 6th rd.

And not to derail the topic but that last sentence is one of the reasons I don’t like AB anymore. Steelers treated him really well, changing how they do business just to accommodate his salary and the thanks they got was him being mental him quitting on them.

I wouldn't say that. While he had nice overall deals, his gurnsteed money didn't compare at all to others when he was the top producer at the time. He got like 10 million guaranteed his last deal when odell got like 65 fully guaranteed. He would've gotten far more money elsewhere.

Also yes they have but that played a role in that. His size did and he didnt have an overly impressive combine. And what matters most is what you did when you got there. Also where you go matters too. We've seen 1st rd picks not start due to who is in front of them. Look at ceedee lamb. He was the 3rd receiver cause of who he went to. If he went somewhere else he would've been first.

Brown went at Smith-Schuster because Brown is selfish and a little unbalanced. Look at the things he has done and said. Remember, I'm posting this even though I argued that the Steelers should have kept Brown for a long time, and I correctly pointed out that Smith-Schuster's game would diminish significantly without him.

I agree but think that the two eras can't be adequately compared. Brown's rise came when the Steelers had him, Sanders, Wallace, Miller and a very competent Ben (add Bell at RB). Arians was the OC most of that time as well, great era for the modern day Steelers and it's passing game.

Ju Ju doesn't have the complementary WRs that Brown had and Ben's skills have diminished substantially. I'm not saying that Ju Ju is better than Brown but I think the argument may be trying to compare an apple with an orange. Both are good fruit.

I really like the Killebrew signing. Liked him coming out of college too. Probably negates the need to take a safety on the first couple of days of the draft.

I like it to...He's like the hybrid that the Steelers always like to have...Burnett, Barron, Edmunds, Marcus Allen type

    https://www.steelers.com/news/simmons-signed-to-a-one-year-contract

The Steelers signed wide receiver Tyler Simmons to a one-year contract.

Simmons, who played at the University of Georgia, signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted rookie free agent following the 2020 NFL Draft. He was signed to the Texans practice squad to start the 2020 season but was released a few weeks later.

Simmons played four seasons at Georgia with 35 receptions for 438 yards (12.5-yard average) and three touchdowns. He also added 17 carries for 220 yards and two touchdowns. In addition, he returned punts his senior season, with nine for 143 yards, averaging 15.9 yards, with a long of 42 yards.
