I'm growing on the idea of trading bac to the mid-30's and drafting Freirmuth. The LBs I like seem to be tarnished (Kamorah is too small, and it appears both Collins and Parsons are not good people), T seems to be loaded and can get a good one in rounds 2-3, and while the top centers are low to mid round 2, I prefer Meinerz and Hill, who should be available later. We pick up a second or third round pick pretty easy with that move down, either this year or next.

Think this might be a good idea depending on how the boards go.

I distinctly remember Ward saving Kordell's butt a bunch of times catching balls as he was lead into a safety head on collision in the middle of the field. Dude would come up smiling as I'm sitting there not believing he'd caught the ball. Of course also there is Plaxico which was taken in the 1st.

O'Neil had Thigpen for a bit which I believe was a 3rd rounder and I'd consider good. He also had Ernie Mills and Andre Hastings if my memory serves me well which were also 3rd rounders or equivalent which were eh ok.

And come on man Dez Bryant:cool:

I wouldn't put Brooks on the bust list yet.

This is a position they've struggled to draft and/or develop

I'd like to see Marcus Allen gain 10-15 lbs and plays ILB. Showed incredible toughness last year.

I use 2 tell my Cousin that Kordell made Ward a great Wrs. I said after learning 2 catch the crap Kordell threw, over your head , behind your back ,at your feet, and into on coming traffic. After that everything was easy money.
Just thinking about Ward makes me smile. 1 of my all time favorite players.

Even in recent years the Steelers have not started many rookies unless pressed by injury, or the rook has outright won the spot.
