We have too many OSU players already on team.

Don't we already have one OSU qb who didn't quite work out on the roster?

Yup. Texans were dumb for drafting a Clemson QB, so were the Chiefs for drafting one from Texas Tech.

Obviously, all QBs should be drafted from Michigan.

He also has Harris going at #8 overall. I would comfortably bet $100 that doesn't happen.

    I would still pass.

If Fields is there at #24, there's a reason.

I'm biased but I think he's gonna be good. All the skills and high character guy, too. Played the last two playoffs with injury and didn't whine about it. Fought hard to get the B10 season even to happen.

If they draft him I'll be smiling all though the 2021 season no matter what happens.

True. I think if Fields is there you draft him.

I don't think Fields will make it out of the top 15 for sure

Helmet scouting, meh. There were no Texas Tech QBs who ever did well in the NFL before Mahomes. No Clemson guys before Watson. Where are all the ND and Mich QBs who succeeded besides Montana and Brady?

Great, two guys in 100 years. Harbaugh was a meh QB, too. 1990s Gardner Minshew.

Scout the player, not the uniform.

Just a question- if one of the qb's drops (I'm going with either Fields or Lance, wouldn't do it for Jones), a trade with #24 and next year's first gets us up to about #10. Throw in next year's third (assuming we get a comp for Dupree) and we're up to #8. Have someone who can learn behind Ben for 1 or 2 years. Pull the trigger, or no?

    No.
If all the team needs is a Qb maybe, but if you think just having a different Qb right now, and we'd be SB contenders ...well LoL ...I don't know what 2 say 2 that.
Question. Show me how many times that's worked 2 use that much draft capital 2 move up for a Qb.
By the time you get that Draft capital back, where you have all the draft picks you need again, you either
    1. Wished you didn't draft that Qb
    2. Have 2 pay that Qb and cant pay anyone else.
    3. Haven't been able to help that Qb ,because you didn't have enough draft capital.

They've recently traded away a first round pick for a free safety and a 2nd and 3rd for an inside linebacker, two of the least impactful positions on the roster, but trading up for the next franchise QB is verboten?

If Fields gets past ten I hope to God Colbert is working the phones to make that deal.

I get your point but Minka is probably the most impactful after Ben. The defense was night and day after he got here.

Bush’ impact is pretty big, too seeing how lost they were without Shazier and a player of his abilities. Thats why they moved up for Bush.

    Less impactful???
    Really.
Maybe Coach T remembers now how much the D helped him get 2 two SB, and every year our Offense was top in the league, and the D was down we went nowhere.
Before saying our D was great last year.
    1. Remember how it went after injuries.
    2. Remember all we have lost this year from it ,and are hoping the ones that are back , can come back from their injuries 100%.

I'm talking about the value of positions, not of defense in general. On D, CB and EDGE are the most important.
